Stop in for a cup of coffee

Yes, cable from the satellite dish and the power supply. You can download the app and check your property for possible locations. It will show you obstructions, pretty slick actually. Mine is set up, and even with trees, I have a clear view of the sky and all satellites with it on my roof. It faces North, North East. It will tell you exactly where to position it.
That's what I was going to ask, as we have a quite a few pine trees that come almost right up to the house (within 20 feet or so). But if I were to mount the dish on the top of the garage, on the other side of the house....

Scott, if you get the chance, please post a pic or three of the installation, as I'm starting to get very interested in this now.

Thanks!

(Edit: Never mind! I back-read and found it.)

You guys thought I was exaggerating about my slow speed. Here is before with Frontier and after with Starlink.

Wow! You were getting hosed, my friend! No wonder you switched.

I'm paying around $230/month for 500/50 Mbps fiber optic connection though Midco. They keep offering us a 1 Tbps (I think that's the next number to use) for an extra $30/month, as all they have to do on their end to make it happen is click a mouse button, but to be honest we don't even need the 500.

A lot of comments about cost of connection. I'll jump in. AT&T u-verse for internet. Cannot stream 1080p even from Netflix. 73.49 per month. 2 cell phones on Straight Talk , 2 of 35 dollar cards per month. End of June their 35 dollar cards conveniently expired, pulled from shelves. She spent $90 for 2 cards. About 2pm on the 4th of July, i got a text from them saying my service was suspended. I dont handle BS well. We switched to Comsumer Cellular yesterday. As seniors, 2 lines, unlimited talk, text, and data, $50 per month. Jr says we can pair the phone to this new TV and just maybe say goodbye to AT&T too.

I love the revolvers and lever guns. I had wanted an 1873 for a long time, but I didn't want to add another caliber to have to deal with stocking ammo for. Last year I bought an Uberti Cattleman in .357 and it's one of my favorites. I also got a Rossi 92 in .357 for a space cowboy. Now I just have to save up for the Ranger Point furniture.

We've been looking at Consumer Cellular ourselves, as Verizon just keeps going up, and up, and up....for less, and less, and less.

I'd be curious to hear what you think about after you get settled-in a bit.

I’m paying 140 for 1GB/100 thru Comcast cast, though I usually only see 700-900 mbps at peak.

We had Verizon for over 25 years.......................they kept raising the price. Switched to AT&T. Better service for our location, very happy with them.

We had Comcast at out old place in the 'burbs....

Funny thing: Comcast had a monopoly on HS internet at our old place, and the fastest they offered was 250 Mbps. This was about 15 minutes out of Minneapolis, in a pretty nice suburb. When we moved to "the sticks" about 3 years ago, we were surprised to learn we can get much faster internet for less money out here.

You may (or may not) like 'em, but for this reason alone I hate Comcast.
