Stop in for a cup of coffee

I figured it at abt 70cu ft. Somwher around 250/cord which is the going rate here. I can find cheaper, but have known this guy for years. I know it’s all good. Others I have gotten included heavy bark or a lot of old crappy cork wood that doesn’t produce much heat. And makes a lot more smoke. So you pay less, but…

Wow. 55-75 for a 4x8x2 rick here
That could be a better deal… Some firewood seller really play the numbers. I don’t see anyone selling by the rick here. I think that is similar to a face cord. Maybe even less if not stacked tight. And like I said it’s a big diff in how clean it is for the heat you get out of it. I can buy mixed much cheaper.

Ditto! Are you ok, and how did this happen?

I have that exact same scaffolding set, so "curious minds" and all that.
Full disclosure since I have called it a day and I have plenty of time. You see once the rain cloud of stupidity settles over my head and dumps water on me. I know myself well enough to stop doing anything and simply walk away. Because rest assured the next obstacle I face, regardless of complexity, will be met with a ferocity and brute force most on here will not understand! @WV64Signet hah! It will far outweigh the need, and very likely result in 2nd and 3rd tier incidents of collateral damage and destruction! It is no more complex than that. I ams what I ams.

As for @ProjectBazza question I will explain as best I can in no way masking my stupidity. I needed to remove the top tier of the scaffolding, I unpinned it at the joint and rather than doing the simple disassembly I chose to “save time” and put the forks on the tractor and place a couple 2x4x8s in between the rungs then I could simple lift it off the male pegs in one piece. Everything was going fine I picked it up but tractor could not go high enough so I picked it up from bottom, (no choice). I then cleared the pegs and rolled the bottom out of the way and began to lower the unit. Tractor was at full raise as you lower it the forks pitch which is not unexpected or even a thing for me as I have run a crane for many years. What I did not do was to simply tie off the scaffold to the forks, easy peasy! But alas, I did not, and as I was lowering the scaffold rocked a bit then the 2x4 slid on the fork and down she came on my head. Had I just took the time to secure the scaffold to the forks like how I set it up there, I would have had zero problems! Yes I was being lazy! But I saved time, right? Arghh!
PS that is great scaffolding!

I got my car back yesterday. :steering: They actually called Friday as I was getting ready for work. Said new transmission came in and it was done! Runs great with no more whine. It was makeung some horrible brake noise from the rusty rotors at first, but I think that’s cleared up now. They didn’t know what the actual problem was but there was metal in the fluid.

Ah, I get it! Fortunately (?) for me I don't have such fancy things as lifts, forks, and cranes, and thus I have to do things manually.

Then again, I am considering hanging an electric hoist from the roof trusses....

Glad to hear you're not seriously hurt, and thanks!

Some days we celebrate our victories in 'slickness'. On this day, the hand of fate has chosen for you to learn from the wisdom of hindsight. Glad you are OK.

I got my purge valve replaced on my truck. 20 min. Not bad. Jack it up, remove the lf wheel and liner, unbolt it from the block, disconnect 2 lines and electrical connector and re assemble. Why do the manufacturers make quick disconnects out if plastic so the releaae tabs break? And, both of the connectors were different. WTF

Hmmm.......Scaffolding? @halifaxhops

And here is the day I was talking about this morning when I thought you were going to die especially when you said that you didn't make it home.

Yep it wasn't a good day, and your reward was I'm still here to be a pain in the butt.
Still have the blood clot. Plus another one.

You are kidding me....dang can't they get is disolved?
They told me two years or more due to the size.
I stopped taking the med after a year and nick my fun finger and bleed for over an hour.
I finally put the powder stuff on it to stop it. Screw that.
