Stop in for a cup of coffee

The car sounds good buddy!

Thanks...

That's the one we built the engine (340) together two years ago...

He had never built an engine before and I walked him through it... He did half the wrench turning with me... We double checked each other's torques...

I like the way Eddie likes quality and doing it right like me... No short cuts...

We became good friends and he comes by once in a while... It would be more often if the traffic by him was not so bad.... It's only 30 - 40 minutes drive without traffic, but some days it takes an hour and a half...

I totally understand what your saying. I have family about the same distance away, and we only see them every few months.

I don’t have any good videos of my ‘69 doing a burnout. Closest I can get is a inside the car clip of a heavy throttle launch. I did this vid shortly after I got the car and got it to run right...

Yeah, it’s a little cheesy...

I think I recognize that street. On the way to the U haul place. I think....

I got my Bilstein shocks from PST today, and got them installed as well. I cant wait to see how this thing drives now. The crappy Monroe's I threw on the car when I first got it road worthy, where shot and they probably only had about 3k miles on them.

Im debating about going EFI on the car.... I may pull the trigger on one.
Dang, I bought a pair of cheap Monroe's for my Dakota.

Air Gap, partly another reason I think EFI might be good. It seems to take forever warm up, when the temps are below 60.
Taking longer to warm up isn’t going to be fixed by EFI, it will just be slightly better able to adapt to running cold by adjusting A/F as the car warms up.

What you are going to get out of EFI is more consistent driveabilty across conditions, like a modern car gives.

Yea, 2 grand still a little pricey for me....
Yeah that's the benefit of the farm account card. We each pay 1/4 of it. Kind of a cool deal but has to be approved by all 4. Our other one seized up so it was kind of a problem that needed a solution

No, dual plane.
Hmm read up on it heavily. I'm wanting to go FAST EFI on my poly which is a dual plane as well but I've been seeing reports of issues with dual plane intakes, mainly off idle flooding and stumbling though I've not been able to actually confirm that.

Hmmm, thats good to know.

Eddie's Dart has a dual plane intake (LD340) and no stumbles or bogs off the line... (Refer to videos on previous pages)....

You are going to want a single plane manifold for EFI.
I think you guys are making the decision for me. I had no idea.
Are you running an electric choke??? That helps it warm up...
I am, but it seems to open rather quickly I would say less than 1 minute when cold. If I adjust it, then it doesnt seem to open fast enough.

I really had no idea about that, I didnt think it mattered. Im glad I brought up that I was thinking about it. I dont think they make a single plane manifold for Magnum heads (which Im running) and all this is doing is saving me money!

try to adjust it so it just reaches verticle when hot.... Make sure it's opening all the way...

Then see where it is when cold (after sitting overnight when first starting)... Does it stumble??? If so, try richening it up a notch or two and then verify that it fully opens when hot..,.

Well, I’m going to make your life more difficult. I have an M1 single plane manifold for the Magnum heads in a box sitting in my basement. It is designed for EFI.

Do I hear an opening bid?

Nope, Holley 600 vacuum secondary...

He tried having a 750 installed, but it ran better with the 600, so he put the 600 back on and sent the 750 back....
Yep, I have a 650 eddy AVS Thunder on mine. The 750 just doesn’t work as well.
