Hey Tim, was the long valve related to the problem lifter? Intake or exhaust and did you have seats done?
Good morning, nice weather here in SC.
Gotta give Comcast a call, putting it off to delay the aggravation. A tech called yesterday and left a message saying a leak...I didn't recognize the number so I didn't pick up. Of course when I called Comcast I got India or somewhere, they are so long-winded thanking for you grandly for each response you give them, I couldn't stand it and said screw this, my internet is working fine. I did some research myself and now I understand a leak is a big deal, interfering with frequencies for things like emergency channels...it would be nice if they'd explain that to people. So I need to set up an appointment to check the cable in my house. The techs who come are always cool, it's just dealing with the people on the phone....grrrr. Comcast sucks.

Thats the plan. Unless I find a cheap can of r12. But I think the days of finding it at a garage sale are about over. The 12 is just going to get more scare and more expensive. So prob a good time to get away from it. Like I said, prettysure its empty now. No point in trying to put that in when I can vac it, leak check and fill it with 134.

Yes to all. Intake Actually the valve stem was short! Did not seem to be bent, was still sealing ok. Wierd huh?
Sounds like the spring pressure was high....maybe?
It will be interesting to find out what was wrong.
What's with all the valve train problems lately here.
that tool worked ok, but yes it did distort the clip. Had to use the "claw" tool.

OK I can enjoy the rest of the day now. Comcast is coming next Sunday, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. In the meantime I'll probably see a tech working nearby and just ask him myself to come find the problem. I've had luck with that approach before!

This is a late 60s style one I just completed. I'm thinking of having it printed as a 3' x 4' banner to hang on the back wall of the garage.
