Still not pretty

I have had real pretty ones before but everything on the machine and your timing has to be perfect which is actually really hard

yes it is - last time I did some welding the feed wheels were slipping over the wire - THAT was aggravating

uh-oh, something wrong!!!

wire tension too loose ?? or was there a jam somewhere ??

the other night I was having problems too....the tip was getting red hot and it wasn't feeding consistent.

I changed the tip and that helped greatly but its strange because to look at the old tip, didn't look like anything was wrong but yet it wasn't working.
 
trans in - running and good to go!?

STARTED IT AROUND 11 LAST NIGHT FIRED RIGHT UP FIRST CRANK. sTILL HAVE TO GET THE EXHAUST ON IT AND THE TOP BOLTS IN SINCE THE CAR WAS JACKED UP ABOUT 2.5 FEET AND IT IS EASIER TO GET FROM THE TOP AND A FEW OTHER THINGS. vERY HAPPY THOUGH. wOULD HAVE BEEN DONE EARLIER BUT THE DAUGHTER AND HER BOYFRIENDS FATHER STOPPED BY TO HAVE A HEADLIGHT CHANGED AND sTAN sr. TO LOOK AT THE DECK FOR ME. I hate tis comp it just puts cap locks on.

Rani ever use that tip sprat that is supposed to prevent buildup on the tips? Just saw it the other day.
 
yeah - the wheels were too smooth - I took them off and scuffed them lightly to take the shine off - worked perfectly after that... took some head scratching to get there though - wire bind? tip clogged? What the......

started it with open headers? (assuming here that you are running headers) AWESOME!

Just put the foot long first pipes on it with the cup and ball gasket eliminators, just ran it a minute. Loud is an understatement!

shakes the dust loose in the whole garage!! I did that years ago with a 79 TrailDuster - freshened up 360 - got it in, bolted up the headers and lets light this puppy - - old garage - the dust rain was a riot!!!
