Stop in for a cup of coffee

That is really cool Karl! Do they have a carbon fiber 3d printer? Just curious. That would make some cool stuff.

Not yet...

They just added two classes for 3D printing starting this semester. I sat through the first class, but it was more in the background/history of 3D printing. The next class is focused more on the printing part of it...

With all of the homework required for the math class that I'm helping my kid(s) in and my Inventor class, there is too much homework for me to keep up with the 3D class, that teacher also gives his fare share of homework. I didn't want to bury myself in too deep..

I also noticed that this year's new edition of the Inventor software changed how you do the moves for the animation. They took out the dialog box and just use a heads-up display which doesn't show as much to help you through the commands.... :banghead:

The Inventor class is a full semester work on your own full blown project where you have to design the parts, make a drawing for each part, then make an assembly drawing for the whole shebang, then animate a 3D model of it assembling itself in an .avi file....

In addition they are not giving any more instruction presentations, just one on one in class if you need it. So we have to catch up on any updates on our own somewhat... :banghead:

They didn't offer this class for the last two semesters, so I took the other Inventor classes this time last year and now have to adapt to the changes in this year's software edition.... :violent1:

So there's too much to do for the two classes, I didn't want to overwhelm myself with the 3D printing class. Plus since it's the first semester that they are teaching it, I didn't want to be the guinea pig and let them work out some of the bugs before I take it.... :violent1:

at one point I had a 6'x3'x3' box FULL of smaller boxes.. don't miss that cluster flipper at all!

I just shipped an oil pan to a member recently, and with all the boxes that I have, still had a hard time finding a box to fit that....

When the hops start I use at least 200 small flat rate boxes. The Post office loves me!

I just shipped some headliner bows to a member and what a pain in the *** making a box to fit them so they would not bend! To big a bow for a tube soo......

I also hate shipping to Canada, always seems like there is something wrong with it.

Haha nope, still not happy how the primer turned out but it is what it is
Wet sand it with some 800 grit to lay it down Kegan, I always wet sand my first coat of primer or block it dry.. You Can Doo IT

Great prices on stuff a friend turned me on to them, order a free catalog alot easier than the website.

speaking of which - I got my bearings and gaskets yesterday from Summit - the cam is coming directly from CompCams, should have that tomorrow.. calling the machine shop later today and expect I'll be bringing him the parts Saturday morning..

So when do you think it will be together?

always ask for the brail menu, yes they have one at the drive through! Why?:toothy1:

We wore fake ZZ-top beards and shaving creamed the menu at the McDonalds drive-thru when we were in high school....

The people behind us couldn't read the menu.... :D

It took us a few minutes to decide to order one coke while our friends took care of the menu... :toothy1:
