On Long Island my bud has like ten Chevy 68 vans in the yard and the neighbor is an *** so he had to register them all then put them in "storage" to make it legal.
They hassled me in Detroit for having cars in my driveway behind my fence without tags...
The "blight cop" was upset when we took them outside of the city to store them at a storage place. He kept trying to convince us to store them in the city... I also got tags from Illinois just to add salt to the wound... Too bad MF, I don't want my cars stripped while they were in storage...
You can make me store them somewhere, but have no right to tell me where... :finga:
I thought that these cars were part of Detroit history, why do the hassle me? One of the blight cops pulled me over down my street to threaten me that if I didn't "follow the rules" and get my cars in running condition, they would break in my front door SWAT style and come get me.... Over some cars in the yard... I was standing outside his car when he was telling me that, but when my son came up to me to listen to what was going on, the cop quickly finished... (he didn't want witnesses to his threatening me like that as that's not allowed wasn't supposed to threaten me with bull ****, but too late, my son heard the whole thing while he was much younger...) I was going through my divorce then and didn't want the cars in full running condition in case the ex was going to be a ***** and try to take them, I would have said, fine, fix them yourself.... Luckily she didn't do that, but you never know...
And they wonder why people there hate the cops.... :???:
I lived on the corner next to an alley and had problems with drug addicts, hookers, and stolen cars being stripped and abandoned in the alley on the side of my house, houses being broken into, one time even gun shots in the alley, and they're worried about a couple of cars sitting in my yard.... :finga:
And they wonder why the city of Detroit is a ****-hole.... #-o
