Stop in for a cup of coffee

so she gave you a "DiNozzo".. ? nice
My wife just came in and read what I was posting and looked at me for a second...then she smacked the back of my head and said..

"You are being an idiot! You didn't buy this car to keep it some sort of stock looking show car, you bought it to resurrect the old GT 340! Now stop being a wuss about it and get the aluminum wheels, lift her ***, put on some big fat tires and slap the disc brakes on her so you can driver her hard and stop fast!"

Then she grinned and before she left, she said "Oh yeah, and make the exhaust louder...let 'em know your are coming and scare the hell out of the neighbors!"

Then I just sat here stunned for a moment and realized 2 very important things...

1. She's absolutely right, it's why I bought the car and it's exactly what I need to do.

2. She is a very good woman!

:D

sitting here staring this and I feel like something is missing... took me a minute.. no fender badging...
OK, here is where I think I'm going to go.

I figure around $2800 to do the wheels, tires, brakes and exhaust...

Wow. You are perceptive, Dave!

M3 seems to have developed a shuffle in his stride

Mitch is so busy that he only stops by in the mornings, but he likes the image of his GTS

Anders went to Ikea with the family...and didn't kill them.

M3 is figuring out which gasket adhesive is best

Mopar Tim is still working on his wall and is offering beer as an incentive for helpers

zkx14 had a Lego dam breach

Memike's wife seems to be on the mend

Anders is getting his shaft measured after getting a bunch of new parts

Ben grins a little when he hears the words "torque" and "thrust"

I think that about covers it... :D

Raining hard here as well.

This thread has gone crazy! I can't even begin to keep caught up...so I continue to lurk about.

I saw that one last night. That was good and a big help.

And I saw you got some trinkets!

Yes I did! I'm planning on sticking the yoke in the trans today and see if I can get a reasonable length reading. Not sure how to get the rear suspension in the correct ride height since my front suspension is all removed, though ...

No lift. I do have wide thick planks I can jack it up on. I hope I won't need to change the pinion angle on the diff.

I need to have it raised above the floor to be able to crawl under and I guess I can add some weight to the trunk and adjust the height of the nose to get the stance I want.

Anders - I've lost track - what is you are doing again?

the slots do look good but if you are into aftermarket wheels .....remember they did the Cragar special.

I have heard there were a number of cars that wore cragars from day one ......it was less publicized but the same thing ran the next year for the then new duster
