People die every day in the United States from things other than illness or natural causes.
How many die each day and what do they die from?

115 die from accidental drug overdose

97 die from motor vehicle accidents

88 die from accidental falls

52 die from suicide

36 die from misc accidents other than listed

30 die from murder by handgun

13 die from choking

9 die from drowning

7 die from fire/smoke

5 die from suffocation

2 die from firearm accidents

<1 die from murder by long gun

<0.25 die from mass murder attacks using assault weapons


We will use real data to make real policy decisions. Spin doesn't matter...facts do. Guns aren't the giant problem people like to pretend they are despite the political play they get. Reality is that there are far more important issues to focus on to help make Americans safer. Fix the big problems first and leave emotions out of it.

The priority is obvious. Stop people from overdosing and falling down in their vehicles!

I joined that forum yesterday and read some stuff. Then I realized there were a few members in there that were damaging to my mental health.

I tried to add one to my ignore list, but got a message that said I couldn't put a staff member (Moderator or Admin) on ignore.

I bailed out and decided that the political forum wasn't for me.
