Good morning, day OFF feels so grrreat, waking up slowly with my feet in some warm Epsom salts. Ray, the Popmobile is so plush.
 
Bitching betty really loud, yells out the issue with usually a master caution light and also the issue light, at least on the aircraft I worked on.

If you are going to do all of that, you might as well adapt a modern Mopar PCM with OBDII and 8.4" LCD display that can monitor everything and warn when faults are detected. It will also monitor and display all operating parameters, pressures, temperatures and capacity levels from the number of pints of fuel to the tire pressure.


If he does go obd II they make HUD units for them also now that would be cool.

Ive thought about both of those, but decided against it. rather avoid the computer setups.
 
Yeah Chris, you definitely want to look into the Modern Mopar OBDII with the 8.4 LCD screen. It can do a helluva lot more than just monitor stuff...

Low Voltage (In Dash)

Gauges I shall be running: Yes, its a TON of gauges. Like I said, space shuttle.

  5. Oil Temp (Console)
  6. Oil Pressure (Console)
  7. Fuel Pressure (Console)

  11. Rear Diff Temp (Console)
  12. Fuel Level cell 1 (Console)
  13. fuel level cell 2 (Console)(will be changed to fuel temp if i decide to run just one fuel cell)

  16. Brake Temp Rear (Console)

now that is cool..... back to drawing board to rethink. I just dont want it to have control of anything is the problem. I don't want it tuning the engine or controlling the braking/steering etc

You don't need to enable traction and stability control, but you can use it to control the engine and have it do it the way you want. For example, in my SRT it adapts the fuel trim and spark to optimize performance based on the inlet air temperature so that you are always in perfect A/F ratio and with the knock sensors it will adapt the timing so that you never have detonation regardless of the condition or octane of the fuel. Essentially it can optimize performance and protect the engine.
 
Chris, the other thing is that the brake assist and stability control in my SRT are 3 level selectable with a button on the dash. Full on, partially off (controlled wheel spin and drifting allowed) and full off.

in other words, I need to find a wreck SRT8 to do it.... It's intriguing idea, and something to consider

It's actually the same system on all of the Chargers, not just the SRT. It's just that the SRT has the PCM that allows the 3 level control. You can get the harnesses and all of the parts out of any wrecked Charger and then get a PCM from an SRT.

nice. just curious about the interface though. I've already got my brake setup and i don't know if it'd work..... research time

i'd make a low ball off, you could flip most of it if you get it cheap enough, heck i'd be interested in some shocks if they fit a polara. and the calibers are worth probably 30 bucks a pop
 
too bad it's a 1hr drive one way to get here - if I had more time I would try to get on the guys payroll and then I could do some homework

See if you can grab the dizzy rebuild kit for a couple of bucks. It's for '72 and up V8 w/ electronic ignition. They go for $20. Hoppy will want it I'm sure.
