such a pretty picture

Wow. Those are different than mine. Original looked like a metal dome with a spring inside and the choke rod out the top. Conversion piece looks like an electric choke canister from a holley..
right, I thought so, but you're not in the process of doing one... and these would be for someone doing "correct" restoration work I guess. I would think these are about as close to NOS as you can get without being right there...I got one, but i already went with electric choke conversion..
Yeah, but that kind of stuff is enough to keep people from even trying to find out if it's real or not...they just choose to go find a different consultant.thing is - IF they bad mouth you, anyone worth their salt will check out what the scoop is - hear-say and gossip is all that is
so these would be what - "next gen" Mopar update pieces?Wow. Those are different than mine. Original looked like a metal dome with a spring inside and the choke rod out the top. Conversion piece looks like an electric choke canister from a holley..
an interesting analogy... LOLYeah, but that kind of stuff is enough to keep people from even trying to find out if it's real or not...they just choose to go find a different consultant.
It's like a rumor that some one might have pissed in the coffee, 99.9% of people will just go somewhere else to get some rather than try to find out if the rumor is true or not...even if the coffee over there is nowhere near as good.
was yours a Holley 1 bbl?Wow. Those are different than mine. Original looked like a metal dome with a spring inside and the choke rod out the top. Conversion piece looks like an electric choke canister from a holley..
Probably 73 up... just guessing... i think thats about when Ma started using electric assist on chokes.. but don't take my word for it, i drink a lot!so these would be what - "next gen" Mopar update pieces?
Yep. 1920 i believe...was yours a Holley 1 bbl?
they are all 73 and upProbably 73 up... just guessing... i think thats about when Ma started using electric assist on chokes.. but don't take my word for it, i drink a lot!
And there it is! I love when a mystery gets solved.. it's almost like getting a haircut!they are all 73 and up

Yeah, the electric assist is part of the early emissions stuff. The nice thing about those chokes is that you don't have to use the electric assist for them to function so they are backwards compatible to the earlier models.they are all 73 and up
They made a Holley 1 bbl back in 1920??Yep. 1920 i believe...
are they considered correct for their listed application?Yeah, the electric assist is part of the early emissions stuff. The nice thing about those chokes is that you don't have to use the electric assist for them to function so they are backwards compatible to the earlier models.
Yes. They are OEM replacements and therefore correct in any restoration.are they considered correct for their listed application?
um, yep.I was going to offer them to the crew first but except for Rani, no one is doing /6's are they?
you need one?um, yep.
Interesting fact that came out of today's funeral, I have an adopted cousin from Vietnam. She's like 15 but my aunt and uncle adopted her many years ago(keep its been 17 years since I've been to a family fuctionHaircuts....
I have heard that there was a lot of that happened back then - it's why it is so hard to follow blood lines past the depressionI also learned that my great grand mother who just died was dropped off and abandoned during the Great Depression along the river and was later found by a local farmers wife who took her in. She was roughly 5-6 years old
Maybe not 'need', but prob take one off your hands. Mine is new Chinese junk.you need one?
