Stop in for a cup of coffee

Like I said, I never saw a scoop that looked great on the 66. IMO
Skip the scoop. A deflector will work well with twins carbs on tunnel ram. ;)

Ever since I was 5 years old, I wanted a yellow '57 chevy with a blower through the hood. I have no idea where I got the notion from, but that car was it for me. I built models of it, drew pictures of it and even bought an old rusted out '57 Belair when I was 14. Paid $200 for it and had it towed home.

My Dad was so mad that he sold it out from under me when I was away one weekend camping in the Boy Scouts. He said I was wasting my time with old rusty cars and needed to focus on school instead.
Dads can be like that. You got further than I did.

I am most definitely not like my father.

I treat my daughter with fairness and understanding along with a lot of guidance toward self discipline as appropriate. I always remind myself what it's like to be her age and understand that she is her own person who needs to be true to herself while learning the things she needs to have the best life she can to make the most of it.

Most importantly, I always remain aware that it is her life...not mine. She will choose her path and I can only give her the tools to help choose a good one.

Great mornin', Gents! Grabbing coffee now and running off 3.5 hours sleep. Was at the track from 8am-11pm yesterday! I tell ya what: Anyone ever tells you the weather in Florida is great - punch them right in the mouth! LOL. We were supposed to get 4 rounds of qualifying and only got two because it kept sprinkling JUST enough to shut the cars off and dry the track. Over and over and over and over. In all my years I have never seen anything like this. 70 degrees, blue sky - then rain. Lather, rinse & repeat.

Round 2 I made a call on the car... and we got in the show at #14 (16 car field). The boys were flying! #1 ran 199mph at 1000ft. That is at 3500lbs! Driver made a shifter gate modification to bypass air shifter and short shifted it BY EAR because of no shift light. :) Many hours later round 3 (final round due to rain) and we are sitting on the bump. We make our last run and BAM-BAM-BAM car hits the limiter and then goes 1st-3rd again. BUT we are still in the show. 2 cars left to go. Car #1 rolls through the beams AFTER HE IS STAGED and guess what? They allow him to backup and restage. We get bumped! We protest and nope... they let him stay in.

Headed to church at 9am to pray and let God work on this situation. We may just get in the show yet!

We had some big hitters at the track last weekend (King of the concrete) and I herd the same happened there (I did no go) Rain held up a couple rounds, and a 5.30 car rolled out of the box after staging deep, and everyone was clapping and pointed towards the pit area to take it home, but they let him back in (long hauler from Mississippi) it happens
I hope everything works out for you, thats some fast times sir
A good prayer will help @Mopar-Man

I be@t that you are glad the repair is behind you @Old man ray , I guess it was dun as an out patient surgery ? a good therapy nurse can go a long ways on getting you back on your feet :)

No I spent two days in recovery. I warned them and the new I don't do good recovering when I'm knocked out.

As for the nurse. She does here best at keeping me off my feet.
Wink wink.

Morning everybody. -5 and no wind. A couple sets of winter tires to install, portable shed coming off trailer. Will drag it over the dart once its on the ground.

The anti-freeze is 50/50 Prestone which should have been fine. I suspect it was a seam failure due to differential contraction of the metal in the cold. It is a re-cored radiator and I think they used an aluminum core with brass tanks.
Wouldn't the puddle be a LOT bigger if it cracked open?
