I like the black treatment on the grill.....
I think the grill blackout really changes the total appearance and makes the car look more suitable for a hood scoop.

Like everything, the total appearance of the car has to be integrated so it looks like it all belongs together. Otherwise, it just looks like parts slapped on.
 
I was considering a shaker hood, even bought a setup, did not work out well.....
 

My real choice would be a double blower .

My brother had a ‘57. Was a very nice car until a drunk blew a red light.
 
Ever since I was 5 years old, I wanted a yellow '57 chevy with a blower through the hood. I have no idea where I got the notion from, but that car was it for me. I built models of it, drew pictures of it and even bought an old rusted out '57 Belair when I was 14. Paid $200 for it and had it towed home.

My Dad was so mad that he sold it out from under me when I was away one weekend camping in the Boy Scouts. He said I was wasting my time with old rusty cars and needed to focus on school instead.
