Stay warm our Canadian friend. It's -35° below wind chill here now. I was out after lunch to blow snow. My feet are still cold. Time for some bourbon.

Them pellet stoves work?

Compared to a regular wood stove?
"Freestanding pellet stoves and inserts that fit inside an existing fireplace look like traditional woodstoves but operate more like a modern furnace. You need only fill the stove's hopper with pellets made from compacted sawdust, set its thermostat, sit back, and get cozy. A mechanical auger deposits the pellets into a burn pot, where they are incinerated at such a high temperature that they create no vent-clogging creosote and very little ash or emissions, which keeps both indoor and outdoor air cleaner. The best part is that they are about twice as efficient at warming your home as wood stoves."

Yea butt....what about if the power goes out?
A gas or propane stove will also work when the power is out...and still run off of a thermostat.

The thermopile from the pilot light creates the low voltage needed to run the on/off switch and thermostat.

So if I wanted to hear a 40x80 shed, good choice for the pellet stove or no?
