Stop in for a cup of coffee

That sounds a lot different than the Mofongo I had. It more resembled a lump of mashed potatoes, but with pork and other stuff in it, smothered in gravy. That was from a restaurant in Lancaster PA. I had a Puerto Rican guy working for me at the time and he considered their food to be 'the real thing'.

Yep, that sounds pretty much like it...they fill the bowl with the stew and put the plate upside-down on it then flip it and remove the bowl. The crispness has to be just right...for whatever reason (the plantains not being as fresh?) it doesn't taste as good as what I had in P.R. Or maybe I have weird tastes, that's entirely possible!

Hi kids! Haven't been on here all week. Been slammed at work. That's a good thing! 72 degrees right now, supposed to get chilly for the weekend. HORSEPOWER weather, I don't mind a bit!

Hey Ben, I promised myself when I got my 1,000 post I would have a beer so here it is!

Letting the gut grow long to match the new hairstyle? lol Maybe skip a few days now and then. Your liver will thank you.

Doctor felt my liver and made a face, then asked me if I was a heavy drinker. I told him, NO WAY because I am not. A 12 pack lasts me 1 month. I guess it's a good thing because mine is bad for whatever reason. Never do well on blood work. High enzymes whatever that means.

Well that sucks. My liver numbers are always up. But I like my drink.

Question...Any one ever lose a job after over 20 years? A good job......How did you deal with it?

What's the junction box for?
2nd Floor bath overhead light and exhaust fan. They will have seperate switches on the wall by the bedroom/nursury door. Because of the framing I went with in-line fan to the existing vent location. My first time working with EMT.

My best friend Victor just got canned after over 20 years, selling signage. His big deal was all the open signs you saw in sams Club. He sold Neon to all the restaurants and bars....He was a junior partner, just **** canned when Sams club closed those locations....

Not one after 20 years, but I have been laid off 3 times in the past 20 years after 5-7 years on the job each time.

I dealt with it by making finding a new job my full time occupation. I spent 8 hours each day looking for work, working on my resume and contacting people I know in the industry. I kept doing it until I had a new job.

I had to relocate one of the times but was able to stay where I was the other two. In the end, each new job brought a significant pay increase and better level of responsibility.
