Stop in for a cup of coffee

I learned this the hardway back in 2007 with my charger... previous owner had put a streetfighter TCI converter in the 904 behind a stock 318, I burnt it up driving the charger. Unknown to me was it was rated for 3000 rpm. thats why i know what TCI recommended.

You need to tell that story on the other thread.

318's are pretty tough but a 3500 stall with a 3:91 gear, a stock engine won't last the weekend.

The converter company just want's to sell product. A billet race converter for a stock 318? WTF!
Some people need to learn the hard way. That OP has himself convinced it’s the right thing to do without any understanding of what it means. A higher stall converter isn’t going to make his car any quicker off the line unless he’s power braking it all the time. What he really needs is a cam, intake and a 4 bbl. Even then, he really won’t need a higher stall converter unless he is making a lot of power and/or drag racing.

Well supposed to get inch of rain here....Falling like crazy a little north of here...
