Hey guys, what ever happened to Anders? Have not seen him in the Coffee Shop for a long while..

that was fun...
spent the last hour on a Boom lift. first time I ever used one. so far I just moved an 8ft light fixture. chains were attached at ceiling. so had to watch trusses, pipes other wires etc. and the floor area is an obstacle course.

Working up some 318 numbers. Comp 265 DEH that Rusty recommends. Pretty powerful for a 4 barrel teen with #302 heads and 340 ex. manifolds. Lots of low rpm torque! Should be able to use the stock converter.

Peak HP at 5000 rpm and a long slow curve doesn’t impress me much, even with the early torque. I’d rather see the peak a bit lower in rpm and a better rise earlier for the street.

Here's a screenshot of my stock 340 model. I *think* your model looks more the way it should.

Oops. That's the model with 'High flow' dual plane intake and a 750 cfm carb. Lemme find or set up the stock one. It ends up looking like this compared to the magazine tests. My interpretation is the 1st pulls were fairly legit. I include Mopar Muscle's carb swap mostly as an indicator of what I think are happy dyno results.

Sim is my Dynomation 340
HR is the baseline 340 from Hot Rod, August 1969. John Dianna "Mopar Manipulatin' Part One". Dyno was at Edelbrock
MM is the baseline from Mopar Muscles blueprint rebuild of a 1970 340. Feb. 2001.

Revised 340 and the my input. What's different or wrong? Am I misinterpreting the cam install? something else? or is it in the program?

The curve isnt bad, I just think it can be better with a different cam with a lower peak HP range

If you read Scampy's thread about why he is not on the coffee thread, I think you may be right.
I think in Anders case, it’s likely also compounded by the American politics we sometimes discuss.

However, he hasn’t really been anywhere on the site so I suspect it’s more than that that’s keeping him away.

I agree. It is a culmination of things
