*****-hey but you're right, he probably spells it George. That's funny I spelled it like that, and I'm from San Jose...

Morning.
Swap meet day.
Buddy cancelled on me.
So its just me and the wife. I bet she will enjoy it too.
Buddy wants me to shop for him, no way. I have enough to think about.

A few locals will be attending,as well as the gentleman that sold me the engine and delivered it yesterday.

Usually if they spell it Jeorge, they pronounce it George...

If they spell their name George, they pronounce it *****-Hey....

Well thank God (it is Sunday, there did my church thing) Hoppy came in this morning for thurd.

Good Morning!!

Glad it is running again for him everything working now?

Yep, it's running, but I still am not happy with the trans...

The kick down linkage feels right as far as the springy feel when you cycle it by hand, but I'm not happy with how it shifts....

It up-shifts too late when in drive, and doesn't kick down when you stab it from a roll in drive....

Now that I'm typing this, we didn't verify that the kick down was adjusted properly... I have to let Eddie know to check it first before bringing it back to the trans guy...

Not looking for anything in particular.
Never been to a swap meet.
Meeting a fellow fabo member to pick up a rear window.

How do you tune in the vacuum advance???

It's running pretty good right now as far as tune goes... It's at 17° advance right now and has vacuum advance hooked up...
Vac pump on it and run it you can set the total vac with a 3/32 allen key in the nipple have to disconnect the hose each time a bit of a pia but if you want it dialed in it helps, I usually set them in the middle. Wont add any more than what is on the arm but limits it

Tell you what taking the defroster vents out of a 65 cuda sucks even with the dash apart! Took out one yesterday took 45 minutes! Waiting till tomorrow to do the other one!

I take it since your taking those off the dash is toast. I'd think you'd yank the dash and pop them out?? Guess its not that simple??

Prob have to take the windshield out, want to keep it sealed for now. Tell you what another gem on them are these little rear under the back glass plastic trim corners. Had to cut the rubber seal to get to two screws under the gasket, now I know what a goldfish in the sun feels like!

by 73 you might have a carter

The carter has a great big outlet pipe on the front of it going to the charcoal can the older holleys didn't typically have that

I'm just going by the word "Holly" that is stamped on the front of it that it is an actual holly carb. Did carter make hollies?
