My daughter gave me a cool present this year. She took a picture that the photographer for Mopar Collector's Guide (MCG) took last summer for a future article. We were at MOPARS in the Park. Anyway she took the pic and had it converted to a water painting finish. Something like Dave does.
She was looking for an artist rendering or something similar. She said in her search she emailed several people. When she told them what Dad had, a 67 Barracuda Formula S 383 convertible, no one had that picture. She said she began to realize old Dad was right it is a special car.
She told me "this one guy she contacted most of been old because he said he worked on the design for your Barracuda. He told me all about your car". His name was John Samsen. He was a lead designer on the Barracuda design team. He is also the person given credit for the name Barracuda. Pretty cool. He told her Dad had a rare car. He asked her to have me send him a pic of the car, which I will do.
Like other MOPAR owners our car is special to us. We love driving it and going to car shows where we can share our piece of MOPAR history!!
