Yeah... I called around to various yards today, very hard to find in a yard near me. Surpringly considering how many Jeeps there are out there

No... either have to swap to a 3.6 pentastar(10,000 plus computer) or hemi or??? Or get lucky and find a reman’ed but I got quoted 6800 plus core for that. I have two good 5.7 Hemis and the conversion kit is around 4000.

Best way is just to replace the engine with a good used 3.8. You will NEVER pay for a new vehicle based on the difference in gas mileage...

Our LE guys didn't fit well in the XJ. Big guys, with the vests by then, and inside was all the usual cop type stuff...
It was only reliable vehicle they had when I last worked at that park, '03
except maybe the 'fire truck' and they didn't want to use that...
When I worked there the previous time, protection was using last generation Fury/Diplomats. Surprisingly good for that.

Went to the local steak house with the lady friend tonight and enjoyed dinner and her company. Then we went stalking the wild Christmas Lights. The herds are more scattered than in years past. Hunting was good, but not great.
