Black wire running from the terminal he questioned to the terminal to the right.
And as you tried to explain the purple or blue wire above this terminal is for the tac.

So what is it?? I'd like to know. The short black wire is a accessory wire but puzzled with the connection. Wire leading to the one next to it.
I don't know much when it comes to electrical. I did though copy your Electrical wiring session 247 and plan on learning something new.

It looks like your fuse box wires are installed the way the factory diagram illustrates. His is setup in reverse - but it doesn't matter functionally. Interesting that yours had the tab rivetted on and on his, there isn't even a hole for doing that.

IDK, it doesn’t look anything like mine...

Oh I get it.
Who ever was installing the options put the fuse holders in differently.
If yours was installed with the fuse holders swapped, it would look just like his.
Yours looks like the drawing with all the feeds on one side,
but his would be a little neater for the installer with all the tabs lined up on one side.

The short black wire is a accessory wire but puzzled with the connection. Wire leading to the one next to it.

Orange arrow is power when the ignition switch is in run or accessory.
It feeds two fuses and in your car, also the tach.

Holy crap, my friend just showed me these.

She said "could you ever use these" I said, heck yea.

She bought a set for her dad but he doesn't know how to use them because he is the kind of guy who might hurt himself with a pair of pliers.

So a question in hopes I sound a little smarter tomorrow when we put the dash back in.
Think I told you the PO had a mechanical aftermarket under dash water temp/oil gauge. Its gone.
Tested the dash gauges with the Hoppy tester and they worked. Plus dash and gauges were rebuild a few years ago at some high dollar place that does great work.
SO question wiring for the oil sending unit and temp unit on the engine goes through the fuse box to the dash gauge?? Or not what it the path is......the short version.

What scoops? The center dual scoop or the outer twin scoops? What year Dart? I have my 1972 dual scoop hood I no longer need.
