Stop in for a cup of coffee

Ugh! The north winds are howling now at 20-30 mph. We have been lucky for the past few days with highs in the 50s but it is dropping fast now. Going to 23* tonight and won’t break freezing tomorrow. At least it’s not a deep arctic chill coming in, just back to Winter.

Trying to crank the heat in the garage to raise the the temp of the thermal mass of everything (including the 3000 lbs of steel of the GTS) as high as possible to fend off the cold that is coming.

Holding steady at 63* in the garage now.

The small plug, 14mm I believe. Autolite 26 or 23...

I have E3 plugs for it waiting new in boxes. I think I will simply open up 1 hole in the bolt pattern. I searched pulleys on FABO for sale and many factory pulleys had 1 oval hole. Not sure why.

Agree. It will work.

I wonder if there was a running change somewhere. I was worries about an internal balance versus an external balance issue. That being said, I didnt see any weights or anything.

Shop was toasty today, hit 72 degrees. It was actually too warm. I didnt mind though.

I will run out to shop tomorrow and open up a hole and make sure I have the right plugs. Some are tapered and some straight and gaskets. Thanks for all the help!

So apparently I can’t type when I quote a message for some reason. Early LA crank pullies were different than the Big blocks. And the poly pullies are as well. If you have an RV 440, the later ones, there were some differences but if you want, I can look tomorrow, I should have the pulley you need laying around somewheres

That would be great. I truly only need 1 groove as just water pump and alternator.
