I have been officially inducted into the "hill" club. Stopped on the hill on my way home from work to check on a stuck postal jeep, couldn't get going, slid down the hill bouncing out of one ditch and over the berm into another. No damage tho.
Yes, the top is the "roof" of the port...
Also gasket match the intake and head ports to a gasket... Trace the gasket opening on each and hog out the port to match the profile...

You should check out the 6.7 ford diesel engine. The intake is where the exhaust should be and the exhaust is where the intake should be..A backwards engine to keep the turbo plumbing to a minimum.The carb sits on the top...

They're supposed to start Sportsman eliminations in 20 minutes. There's a big orange Doppler radar blob right about where the track is. Mount up the rain tires.
