Never thought 14” tires would be so hard to find.
195/75-14 for a customer’s car.
Across 5 brands no warehouse stock.
So 205’s are more readily available.
Then front is squared away, now need to get back end sorted.
When car is sitting flat on floor, rear shackles are touching the frame. Need shorter, wider and stiffer springs.
39 dodge street rod.

Fortunately today they are. Just got a set of Firestone D-70-14 poly-bias red lines. Same make and size it came out of the factory with!!

That used to be a super common size too. About a D70-14
Guess there's not enough volume in them for the warehouses to stock them. Definately still available.

Might have to hunt them the old fashioned way. The companies that don't have a big online/mail order presence.
Trying to remember the more common ones - Uniroyal, Cooper, General ??

I'll ask my friend with the MGB, SAAB 96, and Fiat 500. The Saab may actually be 15s but the Fiat and his bugeye prob are 13s, maybe even 12 on the Fiat. I know its PIA.

May look new on the outside but inside they are rotten. No highway driving with those on the car. A friend recently found out he shouldn't of the hard way. Front tire blow out at 70...no fun.
 
Tireseasy.ca is where i found a decent price on coopers.
My neighbour just bought new tires for his dart, gave me the take-offs. Great shape. Will put them under the dart.

I am well aware of that just for rolling around right now. Wonder if that car does 80?

Saw a bugeye sprite last week,450 horsepower chevy.
Owner said it was a lot of fun to drive. I bet it is..
 
Call me a nutcase, but the tires on my Corvette were 35 yrs old, and yes, I still drove it..,........

A guy used to run a TVR Griffith at the local autocrosses. Scary beast! LOL.

I'm with ya.
IMO its all about condition.
When they paved the end of the Pikes road, Jess Neal put a set of original BFG R race tires on his 'cuda. They had been carefully stored and worked great. Those are the tires you see in the Hot Rod episode where he won the vintage class. Wish they still made that tire.
 
Just blow it out fast open the back and do it can be a mouse nest in it, pretty common with the old testers.
 
WOW on E-Bay through a reputable dealer, I just found an OEM in the box never used master brake cylinder for the Barracuda.
Last thing I needed for the engine.
