That is one of my unknowns yet with my 440, it may be quite tightI was a heretic with the GM master cylinder... with the distribution integrated/mounted to the MC itself.... Headers on the slant make the drivers side a little crowded

Mornin heathens.

So, you are running a GM master cylinder? Is it a two bolt master? Sounds interestingIt shouldn't be a big deal with the slant 6 but the dual headers creates a bit of a challenge, especially with the heat generating... keeping the lines and cables clear
I'm ok. Been having lots of headaches, but it's my own damn fault. I kinda got hooked on soft drinks again and now I've broken the curse, but I gotta pay for it a little while. How ya been Rob?

What headers are you running?
And they interfere with the master cylinder?Clifford 55-0010

Oh ok. Yeah, Mine has the Z bar and "all that" to contend with, but they're made to fit, it's just really tight on the early cars. I have the same headers, but with a solid header flange.No.. just takes up a lot of space down near the frame rail. Tight clearance around the steering gear and pipes past the transmission oil pan.
WTF we never had to pay for crabs? The girls in town always gave them away for free!And...... Apparently the brothers caught a lot of shrimp today. And we bought and brought some crabs over. This will be dinner here, with plenty of beer of course.

Sounds good Chris fingers crossed for ya.Got the transmission dropped off today. Sat with Stan as he tore it down. 1st to 2nd valve governor plug was stuck. There was some faint scoring on the plug and the shift valve was sticking as well.
He's going to rebuild the valve body and hone the shift valve area. No damage to the new clutch packs or the pump. Double checked the torque converter snout length and slot depth. It was all good. Should have it back by Friday or so.
