Oh man, a fall can be a bad at our age, especially you with all the updates you have had, having your four legged family with you to nurse or just get your spirit woke up good had to make things better cousin, walk it off, relax and be sure to water your self good so you can kick start those kidneys..Just came in after I took a bit of a fall. Figured I would take a bit and do a systems check and go back out. I was hanging last piece of tin and managed to fall getting off the ladder, in my graceful landing I managed to land on a Johnson bar I had stuck in a hole for a post so that I did not step in said hole. What a yard sale. With both shoulders replaced and all titanium I do not fall well and have learned to pull arms in and absorb fall with my gord! I am laying on ground trying to figure out what is broke and what is functional and my ever present hounds took over. The Mal was on me in an instant talking to me and licking my face ears or whatever. The Shepard being a bit more slow charged across the last bit of space and hit the Mal like a freight train and blew her off me and then proceeded to lay on me and kept the Mal at bay. She went total Shepard medieval. The Mal being the smarter of the two had already figured out I was fundamentally ok. And there was just no reason to get close enough for an encounter with the pup who was puffed up ears back and having none of it. She would not get off me so I could stand up, it was a total hot mess. Thought sure I was gonna get bit trying to stand up! Hah! Turns out the only thing hurt is my pride! Life with these two hounds is never dull.
We all should have super vision at our age, but two four legged family members might help .
Stay sharp, don't underestimate and step forward.. glad you are OK,
