I prefer strip, and replace. Let's you fix any sheathing damage, get a quality vapor barrier and flashing installed if you don't have a ridge vent already.

My son did that, on his house he is retiring from the airforce gave his one year notice.
He told me to wait . He will come out and do it.

That's one thing about Vietnam here. Not many residences have hot water. Of course the hotels do and the resorts do but the normal home does not. But there's a solution for that also. The local electric appliance store sells these small instant hot water heaters that you mount on the wall in the bathroom and hook it into the water supply. Works great. No more cold showers for me.

I originally did part of Dad's trailer breaking tab's off to get it flat. Tear down is certainly the better way. New won't last as long over old. Not sure if any warranty doing it that way.

I did the foundation frame and stone.
They had it up as snow was falling. Did it in 3 hours.

I did the A frame. They knocked it out pretty quickly. All the metal was pre-cut and delivered a couple days beforehand.
