Stop in for a drink.

Cleaning house at CVMM tonight. (Whiskey tasting group) Taste whatever you want and pay a little for what's left if you want to take it home. Quite a few $100+ bottles. Some of the last few sips went for a couple bucks.

Don’t throw me out but a good red called out to me for pairing with venison for dinner! Yummy all way around!

According to Cerveceria Modelo producers of Corona and 8 other brands of beer, Drinko de Mayo is officially here .
Let the post sunset gunshots begin!

I would rather drink water from a garden hose over a Corona. One of it's brothers from another father Pacifico is very enjoyable.

No kidding real conversation in Algodones, Mexico

"I'll have a Corona."

"Senōr, would you care for a Pacifico?"

"I just ordered a Corona, why would I want a Pacifico?"

"Because Senōr, they are free today."

"Well why the h%££ didn't you just say that to begin with!"

And every freebie was a convert to a better brew

Nice...

Yeah, something about warmer or hot weather requiring an ice cold beer
I have a Baltic Porter from Textile Brewing. It's a craft brewer 45 min away. They do have some in cans and I brought a couple home from my last visit.

Brewed in Dyresville, Iowa. Where the Field of Dreams movie was filmed. Note the ABV.

Noted :D

There's a small store up the road that carries a nice selection of very local brews. They're usually between 4 and 9 ABV.

There's a new, dry hard cider that they recently got in but at $21 a 12 Oz bottle I'm a little hesitant

Picked up a couple new bottles today. This is a SAGAMORE Rye barrel pick done by BourbonEyes Bunker. It's just a easy sippin' rye @110 proof with light caramel notes and a long spicy finish.

#2 for your sipping pleasure is A Starlight bourbon finished in a Stout beer barrel. It is quite complex and delicious with nose and palate of Coffee, chocolate, toffee, molasses, cinnamon, nutmeg, and anise with a sweet and lingering spice finish. Winner!

Penicillin

2 oz. Blended Scotch
0.75 oz. Lemon Juice
0.75 oz. Ginger / Honey Syrup
0.25 oz. Smoky Scotch

Add blended scotch, lemon juice and ginger/honey syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice, and shake for six to eight seconds. Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass, gently drizzle the smoky scotch across the top, and garnish with something aromatically neutral like a ginger candy or else nothing at all.

Whiskey tasting club tonight. Amrut from India. Looks like one peated and one single malt. I think I will bring something else to share. LOL

Just replaced 2 of the 1/4'' pressed wood shelves with some 3/4" plywood. I just about lost the big shelf. Dang, I would be crying for sure. Time to take a pic or two so I can capture them off my phone and save them to my laptop.

Holy Smokes having prowled thru your cabinet and crawled off your porch I clearly did not see several of the cabinets! Obviously this bears yet another visit for a quality control evaluation. I need to ensure the rows are cover and aligned!
