Shades of the past. I joined a few years ago and was by far the youngest member. Went to a couple meetings and found out it wasn't for me. (more about the financial benefits of shows/cruises than hanging out talking cars.)

Well I'm not longer tipsy but I'll go ahead and get some advice on the situation I am in.
Last night me and a few buddies took my car up to the track and a a couple of girls came with us whom I have never meet before. Well I am busy trying to get my car running right all night so I am not social at all. Probably didn't say five words to these girls while they were with us for four hours at the track. One of my buddies was trying to make some moves on one of the girls but apparently she kept talking about me and MY DART! So they come over to the house and we have a few drinks and she starts flirting with me while my friend is flirting with her. I gave her a little but back and showed interest but I couldn't really do much without offending my friend.
Now here is why things are complicated at this point. If this was any other guy I would tell them to screw off and move in for the steal but this friend of mine has had very serious relationships end because his girlfriend hooked up with one of his friends. So getting involved with a girl he likes is very soft ground.
So do I tell me friend to toughen up and move in for the kill or do I find another canidate.
By the way the look on this girls face when I started up my dart to roll it off the trailer was priceless. I'm pretty sure she was about to rip my her cloths off when she heard that small block hit 6000 rpm. GOD BLESS MOPARS!

Talk to your buddy! Get it out in the open. Make sure the girl is worth it though. Girls are pretty easy to come by, Good friends are a lot harder to find...

It's funny because the night before another girl came over to see one of my friends and he was joking around and said we better throw a cover over the dart so she doesn't get to excited.

Sorry, I am in the middle of fixing some chew. (supper) The town I was in is re-paving the main street. I drove down the street and dodged a pot hole which was filled with water and it was deep.Missed it with the front wheels but caught it with the duals. I broke a leaf spring, u-bolt and sheared off the spring center bolt. I was dog tracking like a .................big dog!
Well, as the story unfolds, I need a single leaf at the bottom of the spring pack. Called to the GM dealer with the VIN to get the part number and the spring leaf is not available. The spring assembly is not available either. Called the local driveline place and they also have nothing available. Just a 12 spring assembly that is in Pennsylvania and is $550 and $150 shipping to get it here on Tuesday. NOTE: mine is a 19 spring pack and not the same. All I need is the bottom leaf, 2 U-bolts and a center bolt. We get our thoughts together. One of my customers had scrapped a couple Frito Lay trucks out for the drive trains and had some spring parts available....Bingo! They had exactly what I needed and only a 5 min. drive away. We ordered the U bolts and I will pick them up tomorrow. I needed a ride home (1 hour drive) but my buddy, Mopar Joe picked me up and I used his Town and Country van for transportation. Between friends and good customers I will get fixed up and running again. Great people!
