suspension torque specs

Anyone have torque specs for front suspension on a 72 dart?
 
Tight! I'm sure there are specs. You may need to get online or get a manual from the library.
 
tight is right but i'd feel better with factory specs, just for peace of mind.
 
Okay, right out of the Haynes Automotive Manual: Dodge Dart and Plymouth Valiant 1967 thru 1976:
Front suspension torque wrench settings: ft lbs

upper ball joint nut................55
lower ball joint nut................100
lower control arm pivot nut.....145
control arm upper cam bolt.....65
rebound stop nuts.................25
crossmember bolts................150
idler arm mounting nuts...........45
shock absorber lower mounting....50
shock absorber upper mounting....25
steering knuckle bolts (lower)....100
steering knuckle bolts (upper).....55
drag strut nut (front)...............40
drag strut nut (rear)................110
anti sway bar nuts...................30
tie-rod end ball joint nuts..........40
tie-rod end clamp pinch bolts......15
steering box mounting bolts......100
pitman arm nut.......................175
 
Thanks mopardude for the specs and not just some crazy comments, i appreciate it.
 
How about the torque specs for 7 1/4 rear diff. Bearing cap, rear diff cover, and retaining bolts for axel, wheel lugs would appreciate it.

Would you say these would be the same for a 1974 plymouth duster?
 

Lots of aftermarket manuals like Haynes, Chiltons and the like have mistakes. It's best to get a factory Chrysler service manual for your car, so you will have the correct information right at your fingertips. As an example, in one of the big brand name aftermarket manuals, I've seen the torque spec for the rear leaf spring U bolts at a staggering 125 foot pounds. The correct spec is 45 foot pounds. The fatory service manuals are available as free downloads at mymopar.com. They don't have them all, but they have a lot of them.

Thank you RustyRatRod, I have looked at the link you provided before and only saw up to the year 73. I assume some, or most, of the torque specs are the same between years but that's why I asked.(wanted to be sure) Do you recommend just going off of the 72 Plymouth manuals then? Cus i didn't see any additional years on that site.

I am unsure. A lot was changed in 1973. I know on the B bodies, for example, they got the stupid isolator system on the leaf spring shock plates. I am unsure about the A bodies. Rest assure, if they got it too, those torque specs are different. REAL easy to tell. If the spring plates have rubber insulators between the plates and springs, it has them. If not, I would torque them to 72 and prior spec which is 45 foot pounds.
