Thoughts/do I need to dent my new headers, new pics ?

By the angle of your photo it looks as though the back coming up may help. I have shimmed as many transmissions up or over as I have engines. Sometimes a combination of both works. A little on each end goes a long way.!! Good luck..Swingn,
