I know Traegers are more of a NW thing but does anyone have some tips for smoking your bird? I've got my turkey soaking in a brine right now and I was planning on smoking it for about 3 hours then cooking it at 350 for another 3 or so hours.

Any suggestions? More smoke? Less smoke? Secret ingredients?

I use a mild wood, pecan or cherry. I smoked one monday and had a temperature of 225 to 250. Really turned out awesome. Don't have a Traeger, just a regular smoker. Enjoy!
As suggested above, Smokingmeat.com is an awesome site for information.
