I just had my 904 rebuilt, they called and said it was done. I ask if there was anything "weird", he just said no it was "pretty straight forward", and he put it on the dyno and everything is fine.

Now I heard on putting the engine on a dyno, but a tranny?

What does that do? Just makes sure it works?

Thanks!

Oh, he said it is guaranteed up to 300 hp for a year... I should have about 360. whoops!

Yeah there is a tranny dyno. It is powered by a large electric motor hooked up to simulate the engine and basically tests all functions.

Yes, a shift kit and a 2400 stall. I have stock 8 1/4 3.21, I think that should do for awhile?
I don't know what kind of shift kit? I think it's just something they do themselves in shop.

why does everyone grade their transmissions by hp? doesnt torque actually kill a trans/rearend?

i guess that makes sense.. makes for alot of pissed off people if they are misinformed.
