sooooooo...I take it you're still incorporating the strut bar?
Damn John, that looks sweeeeeeeeeeeet!! The Dog leg looks really strong too!
Thanks Louis. The only part that sucks is we won't get to use those cool 90* gussets that I ordered. On yours I am going to go ahead and incorporate a sway bar mount in the gusset that will go on the inboard side. It actually works out perfect that the sway bar mount will be no more that drilling a hole in the gusset. Sweet.
That's ok I will stand them up and use them for the Lower Shock mounts, I better order 2 more! haaaaa
Good Idea on the sway bar, the mount will be hidden when someone does not want to use it, good stuff going on here!!
luv the design...what's your thought on doing away with the strut bar?...is it needed with the design of the lower control arm you have come up with?...I'm thinking it's only function is for the braking force?
....just spittballin
what are all those things that look like fish scales?....nice work!
Super nice, any Idea on a price for a pair?
its monday here in yaba daba, stanislaus how much
Here is what I have come up with for a gusset and sway bar mount. It will be cut out of 1/4" plate. I'm taking it in tomorrow to get a quote on having them cut. Any thoughts?
I am also debating about adding another gusset that will extend all of the way past where the ball joint attaches. I need to check clearance.
Looks good just like that. Do you think there is a need for another gusset? That tube is basically solid from where the dog leg ties into the main arm. I think it should be Hella strong like you have it!
Are you going to fully weld the gusset or stitch weld it?
The end of the arm where the tapered hole is just as thick as the factory cast part. My biggest concern is you pulling the wheels for 200'. Lol. Seriously it would make me feel better and would put peoples minds at ease. I have received a couple of comments about it.
