I know this ain't about a Mopar small block, but it's about a small block so here it is. Gladys, my 75 F250HD truck seems to be doing well since I reassembled the 400. @NC Engine Builder Sean refaced the new lifters and I put them on the used Crane Fireball cam when I reassembled the 400. It broke in fine and I've been driving it about 3 weeks now. Plenty of oil pressure, no noise, runs good as it ever did. I think we got it. I have a Blueprint Engines ready to run MSD style distributor and e core coil for it, but I wanted to break it in with the distributor I had in it first. I found a reman AC Delco York compressor on Marketfarce for cheap. Mine was making noises and getting ready to lock up. So all I have left now is charging the AC. Hopefully something will stay right for me for a while.

Yeah it's a factory air truck, too.
I worked with a guy a few years back that had a 74 F100, was a 360 automatic with factory air, body was very clean and solid, could have bought it cheap but no room at the time. I put a blower motor in it for him and did a few other minor things on it. He drove it to work every single day.

They are super cool trucks. I gladly waved bye to my ex wife in my first one. It was a 76 F250 standard. Non Camper Special. It did have the 460 and a C6. It was a pretty solid old truck, but it leaked from every seal and orifice and I was glad to get rid of it (her). That was 1994. I've always wanted another one and about 13 years ago I found this one. F250HD (F253 on the data plate) plus it has the Camper Special package. It has the original drive train except the engine. I need to replace the I beam pivot bushings and then get the passenger's side I beam bent so the camber is right and set the toe. It needs a little rust repair, but I have all the patch panels. I'm just glad it's back runnin again.

My dad had a 73 F250 camper special for a short time when I was about 12. I don't remember much about that one except that it had a big camper on it and he only had it for one summer.

I was really kinda lookin for a Super Camper Special when I found Gladys. They are very unusual trucks. This is one. Look how much farther back the rear axle is mounted. They did that for extra load capacity.

I think it was f100 that is listed most often stolen vehicle in the U.S. 3 years in a row by insurance institute. Followed by 73 Cutlass? I forget.

I've seen a few of them around here in the last couple of years, but I didn't know about that.

I know Chevy and Dodge both made Camper Specials but they didn't make anything like that that I'm aware of. Also, Ford made more big block trucks than Chevy or Dodge combined. It's almost weird how many F100 big block trucks there are.

You don't happen to have the cam specs on that Crane Fireball cam, do you? I had one in my 340 when I bought it. Lots of duration, lesser lift, but damn-did it run good!
