I do plan soon to replace the upper ball joints and bushings. So I was looking at the arms and notice the right side bushing looks like it not all the way in.left looks ok.does this look right or is something wrong.

I wouldn,t drive it like that you,ll definetly go ditch surfin, somebody forgot to finish the job.It would have to be pullin.I would take it to a friendly mechanic real soon.just my 2 cents

I am not driving the car its almost all apart.I plan on all new bushings but this has me bumbed out never played with controlls arms befor maybe its not to much but some reasurance would be good

by looking at the one that appears to have a newer rubber bushing in it.
I see a place where a hammar has hit the bushing holder and got it out of round, Just remove the control arm and look close at it and see if some one put a flat spot on it, I think it should let the metal move in farther.
It need to come out any way so you can change out the totally wore out one on the right side.

Somone has caved that arm in with a hammer. They are formed strong enough so they dont close up (U shaped flandge on topand bottom). The flat area with bushing hole will cave. Look closely at the top pic and notice the kink at upper corner

Redfish is right; that arm is bent. I would look for another.
Good Luck with the Dart! Looks like a nice project to have.
I love the Keystones!!

thanks guys well time to get good used ones.what do you think of the tub ones. This car is turning into a mony pit.Ps why the hell would they bend the arm.Tires are wearing good. Thanks me feel better now .

it looks like someone tried to press both in at the same time and didnt put a bar or pipe between the arm to stop it from colapsing in. its better to use an arbor press and do one at a time. tubulars are great just dont get ones with rod ends if you plan on driving it often. get ones with standard style bushings.

That a arm is bent! Find an other and replace it! However if its in there and alignment has been done, it is getting the job done! I dought if it will put you in the ditch!
