Needed new rubber for my triple axle.

Saw some decent load Es...great.

Called up the local store front. Didn't have that size, load range, or brand in stock. So asked if they can order them. Nope. Apparently Walmart can't order from Walmart.com. what's in the backroom is all they have. Whatever.

Go home. Jump on the computer. Tried to order them, well. Apparently, Walmart.com can't deliver them to a Walmart store. Wtf?.

Sigh. Alright. Ordered them and got them delivered. Called up local Walmart. Well, I can't "schedule" an appointment because they're not on a vehicle or trailer. They're considered "carry ins" and such cannot be scheduled in their books. I have to sit around with 24 loosies...yes, 12 old ones on rims, and 12 new ones...yeah, i had to use the other trailer to bring them all in, i couldn't get all of them in the back of an 8ft box......and wait for an opportunity???

At the same time, I'm killing my whole day, waiting to get these mounted. How am I supposed to setup an appointment if the old tires are so unsafe I can't drag the trailer down the road? I'm forced to be unsafe and cause an accident if I want to try and keep my day open? Seems an accident or tow truck call would still break me even on wasting a day? Assuming I don't kill someone. .. What? Trailer the trailer? Yeah. BS.

This isn't no TractorSupply to move grandmas lawnboy. Its a custom stretched 58ft goose-neck flatbed triple axle dually......they want that parked in their little oil change bay???

Am I really misunderstanding something or is the world this damn pathetic? Or should I just had avoided Walmart like its the bubonic plague???? The idea was to get free mounts and dismount. All i had to pay for was valve stems. I guess i kinda broke even?

/end rant.

Your expectations (sounds like mine too) is that people care about doing the right thing and common sense will prevail. Unfortunately, the trend seems to be going the other way.

I bought it as a 30 footer back in 2001. Somewhere in the 2008 I stretched it to 58ft and added a 3rd axle.

Point being, the whole situation to get tires on it, and why I couldn't make an appointment because of "carry-ins" is just no compute.

This why I buy online mostly. It minimizes running around checking stock and good luck talking with someone on the phone or believing their website stock quantities. My daughter did have good luck getting RV trailer tires from a specialty RV place and prices were competitive. They had a low price option but didn't carry low end offshore stuff either.

I mean, yeah, if they got delivered to the store, I'd still have to haul in my old ones only 12, not 24., but I'd still have the stupid carry in BS to deal with.

The whole scenario makes no sense to me whatsoever to qualify for a scheduled appointment.

I did buy online. I had no choice but to get them FedEx'ed delivered to my doorstep, only to haul them back to the store. I did the online because they were $60 each. Almost a steal for 16Es.... And the dates are legitimate. The oldest tire is only 5 months old.

It was annoying I couldn't get them delivered to the local store....only to truck them in and still not be honored or offered an appointment ....

I wouldn't let Walmart work on my lawnmower.

Tire is a tire. I checked pressures when I got home.

And I already battled removing 2000 tires in the backyard. I didn't want to use my tire machine, my lower back, only to end up 12 more......

Dude should write story books, got more tales than a lemur
Off tropic rant. All it is. I got them done.

Avoid Walmart.

And the tire clean up story is real. Miserable too.

My rim pretzel machine worked pretty good using some iron laying around in the backyard. Cylinder didn't leak either. I'm surprised too!

900psi behind that 9" bore ram pushed 10.00-20 daytons like play dough.

That last photo is. a military beadlock. That one was kinda scary, even with a 100ft pull rope on the hydraulic spool. So I cut some meat out of it with the torch.

Oh, why the machine? Contract said no rims. After I had the trailer delivered, and the 3 month clock started, I realized I missed some fine print.....hmm.

I was NOT going to truck and/or pay someone to dismount 700 semi rims. Nope.

Pretzeled them all, dropped right out of the tire, and after trailer recycle fees, nearly x6 my money in iron at the scrap yard.

It was probably the most profitable tire industrial garbage clean up that I'm aware of.

But yeah, fairy tales....

I have family members who have bought on Walmarts website and had their purchase sent to the store for pickup. I've heard so many horror stories about people having trouble with buying on line, this is why I'm glad I shop in person. I like to inspect what I'm buying and if you buy on line then you have the hassle of taking it back.

I've never bought tires from a retail outlet store except when Sears and Roebuck had a reputable shop in Kankakee way way way back when. Now we buy them from local reputable tire shops. The only way I would deviate from that would be if it's a Farm and Fleet or similar shop after checking online reviews or knowing someone in the shop.

Well. Last ordeal there.

I suppose every store has it's perks, as minimal as they may be....

Believe this or not but I actually got tires for my Colorado at a car dealership cheaper than anywhere else, once you establish a relationship with a business you can get good deals, I have been for year's.

That is surprising from a stealership.

Were the casting dates in the sidewall reasonable?

Yes. I have a good relationship with my local dealer, he believes in taking care of his customers and by him doing so keeps his customers coming back and in turn those people tell others how they are treated. The word of mouth can hurt your business as well as help it, he believes in doing business by volume rather than getting all he can from one person and in him taking care of his customers has paid off. Online, they don't care, your just a number to them.

And not a single picture, not even the dealers name..

If you Google a tire size and see Wal mart has them available they might not actually carry them or have them in their warehouse in Arkansas. They are just a reseller like everyone else on the internet.

Oh no op speaks in the 3rd and 4th person often. It was his cousins uncles brothers friends trailer they all lend out

You're taking a trailer like that to Walmart?

That's probably your issue.
