Still cheaper then what a '70-'71 duster "sharktooth" grille goes for...the dart grille that is..

I see it more in the used prices. Some see mopar and see $$$. Like there is a guy around here trying to sell a 340 for 3k. Its not even rebuilt or built just a stock motor. Same on here. You can see the guys with there prices that are trying to keep the market fair. Then theres the guys that are way overboard on there price.

just looked and its got 3 hours to go and no bids, the market still decides prices. ANd also noticed from the same person. for his prices he could have done free shipping and notice "crating fee" gimme a break.

I collect old radios, too. Used to be a local guy who had a trailer and used to haul radios to every local radio swap meet. His prices were 20 times outrageous, and he never sold anything. In fact, had you agreed to his outrageous prices, he probably would have walked away from you. People who knew him referred to it as the Smith Travelling Museum (name changed to protect the guilty.) Turned out that he was under strict orders from the lovely (physical attributes changed, also to protect the guilty, yech!) Missus to get rid of all his "junk". So, he would pack it up, haul it around, go through the motions, and bring it all back home, stopping along the way at a friend's house to offload the stuff he bought until such time as he could sneak it into the house.

i look at it this way. with mopar being more money than all the others that just means that they wont be another everyone and their brother owns 5 cars. and as for used stuff i sell unless its in pristien shape like the day it was packaged i tend to let the buyer make me an offer. times are tight on everyone and if i dont have a need for it id rather see it go to some one who can use it for a few dollars rather than throw it away

I blame the B-Jackson auctions... cause of that crap everyone and their mother thinks they have something special.

even though mopar stuff is higher priced i think its hands down better than ford or chevy. i always wanted a 69 camaro until my friend got me into dusters and now when i look my friends 65 stang or chevys i'm glad i have a mopar. i think its better quality and performance.

I work for UPS and see a lot of cool cars. One of my customers was a real nice older lady with a 69 Notch Back Cuda. It's her daily driver. She drives about one mile to work and back. It's had a nice paint job, good maintanence, new fuel tank, etc. 318, auto, A/C blows ice cold. It's a pretty car and would make a nice driver. I showed her pics of some of my old Cuda's and she said if she ever decided to sell it she would like some one like me to have it. A couple years ago she called and said she was ready to let it go. I'm thinking 3K is a fair price, not low balling her. She says her insurance man told her it was a 10K car at least. Then she said this insurance guy told her she she had really screwed up when she gave her son, in Texas, her 1970 Ford Estate Waggon. It's nuckelheads like that, that really screw up the market. People look to them for advice. At least the B/J cars are high end muscle cars, not unrestored drivers. The last time I went by she still had the Cuda, Joe.

My favorite line in craigslist ads is "Would be real nice with a little work". Or maybe "Only needs the mirrors bolted back on and seats installed to be worth ten times as much as I'm asking but I have run out of time/energy to finish". Usually associated with a slant 6 75 Valiant 4 door.

Hate when people overprice things just because they are NOS. Hence, I purchased a NOS choke for the slant and the thing was useless within a month. Know why? This part was stored through whole its life.

I dealt with Frank once waaaay back when I first got into restoring my car. I bought an NOS locking gas cap that fits inside the filler neck under the flip-open cap for my `68 B`cuda. I paid $51 and was promptly told I was an idiot for buying it. Damn things cost over $125 today and NO ONE is reproducing them.

Roll the dice. If you MUST HAVE IT, well.... decide. NOS stuff doesn't get cheaper, when you can find it. But Frank will definitely bend you over for the privilege.
