What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Got the K-frame degreased, stripped and primed today. 50 years of dirt and grime gone. Will be ready for chassis tomorrow. And the power steering box will get cleaned up next. Moving along with this V8 swap. Guess I’ll have to start a resto thread at some point.

So the K-frame is not supposed to be a black fuzzy blobb of grease and oil? It looks so weird naked :D
Nice work!

Hope you found it, they are usualy okay to find on our fine little A-bodies compared to more luxurius cars with an endless amount of vacumlines and actuators under the dashboard for the ventilationsystem :)

Just tore half the engine bay apart to change an intake gasket! I'd fire my old mechanic, but I work so cheap!!!

Getting the junk off of it & getting it down off the mountain of blocks I put it on for the hurricane.

I didn't like the tune on my 273. The wideband showed it was running too lean with an off idle bog. Tore back into it and jetted up one size and changed the PV from 5.0 to 6.0. I checked the float levels, they are good. I move the accelerator pump cam up to the more aggressive setting. I backed the initial timing off by 5 degrees and adjusted the transfer ports and idle mixture screws and changed the secondary diaphragm spring up two sizes stiffer. My hot idle is now good, the off-idle bog is gone and my wide band readings are where I want them for my upcoming road trip. Final road test today before reporting to the hospital tomorrow for more medicine:-(

Sun roof was starting to not open or close in my scamp. got it fixed today and works as good as new.

Didn’t really do anything to it today, but I did order a headlight relay kit from Crackedback, and some GE Nighthawk headlights from Amazon.

I did that upgrade. ...you're gonna love it!

We’ll every thing I’ve read about it has been very positive. Now that I’m driving the car to work once in a while and driving home at 10:30 - 11:00 at night I figured it’s a good idea. I drive right along the foothills between Boulder and Lyons and quite often encounter deer and elk crossing the road. Would be good if I could spot them when they are still a ways off.

My lights went from dim orange to bright white!

So I went for my weekly Friday morning drive....this guy in a city work truck chases me down and says "you going to the Route 66 show tomorrow? "
I said I might....he says "look for me...white SuperBird!"
All I could say was "wow!"

It also seems today is thumbs up day....must have got 2 dozen thumbs up and waves in an hour!
I don't live and die on people that appreciate the Cuda, but it is nice that they recognize what they're looking at!

Great morning so far!

Got the dart out of the garage today to remove the remaining bits in the engine bay. Plus gave it a light wash with some help. The boys washed their cars too.

The casters worked perfect. Very easy to roll around.
