What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Spending 2 days, afterwork only, had the slant 6 out and the 383 in! (Had a spare 73 k frame I rebuilt/modified over the past couple months) Thanks Jim Lusk on the 73-76 k frame instructions

Well I installed my new Hotchkis A body springs.
Only a little blood and a bruised knuckle!
Their bushings are very stout.
I had to press shackle bushings.
Now I have to finish rear brakes.
Even with too large tires on back, I like new stance.

And here is what I replaced. SS springs with only 90 towing miles. From my old place up to where I am now. Mineral Bluff. 90 miles.

Going Electric on my cooling fan. Ordered up this ford taurus fan, was suppose to be a perfect fit for the 22" Champion radiator. And I'd say its pretty close. Could be a touch taller, but the width is perfect. Made up a couple of mounts, 1/16" aluminum angle on the passenger side, and had to use 1/4" thick aluminum plate to make the mount for the drivers side because of the mounting area on that side being recessed about 1/4".
Just about have it mounted up, just need to drill and tap a couple more holes, and make a run to the hardware store for the correct bolts.

Nice!!!
I'm already running the Champion 22" radiator and I've had the Taurus fan for over a year and meaning to swap it.....I'm currently running a 2 fan setup from Summit but not happy with it's ability to cool.....the Taurus fan is NEXT on my list!

That's a clean install you did!

I'm gonna check my oil pressure gauge. It would go to 30 psi and stop. Now it's stuck around 50 psi. In this pic the engine is off. I'll remove the entire assembly from the engine to check for any debri. Maybe get another gauge.

i rewired some of the after market gauges
when i installed the tach, i got lazy and hooked the light up to the ignition

so today i ran a dedicated line to the gauges to run the lights
not a ton of fun but glad i did it

I'm using Dr Diff rear disk kit. It fits 14 inch rims. I'm taking off the aftermarket 15 inch rims small bolt pattern and going 14 inch 4.5 inch bolt pattern.

Here are some pics I took a while ago today.
It's tough to show stance of car in my garage right now as I have 3 cars in it and space is limited.
But I'm going to try.

It used to be abt 2.5 inches higher in rear.
I will look for some older pics to show.
I am very happy with the springs.
It only took 5 months to get them!

P.S. forgive the black underhood, it is a work in progress and will soon be body color.

This was installed a year ago and put about 5k miles on it but I never got a hole bore all the way through the steering shaft. While the engine is at the machine shop seemed like a good opportunity to address.
