Those were not cheap. I went with a low end tire as my spare with a steel rim.
Had to buy it. 70 Superbird & 70 Road runner. Lol I'm still a kid at heart. $3 for all 5
Would do the same a lot more of us old kids out here than you think. lol
The Mavrick looks pretty cool too.
Well, some one made fun of my plastic fuel filter... It was bound to happen, but I Like seeing my fuel! So I dug out my old glass one from over 40 years ago that I used on my 63 Valiant w/340 4 speed ... That unit back then was made in USA by Alondra Inc. US Pat No. 3317043... well it was for a 3/8 fuel line so.... I made New parts to go with the old Glass for my 5/16 Stainless fuel lines.... 6061 aluminum is stronger then the old pot metal... and will go well with my other Billet Aluminum and it's Different !!! So far, No Leaks
I painted my shock plates today.
looks nice would look a little cleaner (IMHO) if you turned the clamps down
Thank You... But just like my radiator hose clamps, I like a straight shot at the clamp tabs for easy access with my tool (pliers)... Sorta like the intake manifold and the Stainless steel bolts.. I like the Hex Head facing "Up" ! LoL... I'm really a "Simple" guy !
Oh boy... I've been doing a lot but accomplishing little. In the last week:Epoxy primed the roof, sail panels, and driver quarter.Applied fiberglass filler to said panels and sanded. Only meant to fill the major defects.Reprimered panels where sanding cut through primer.Found out the door jambs around the striker were broken out. Fixed the passenger side (reinforced from behind), on to the driver side.Today, if all goes as planned, I'll pull the quarter window on the driver side and fix the other door jamb around the striker plate and reinforce it. After that I'll sand the jambs and get primer on them. At least, I hope I can get all that done.
Got a "no name" 3-row 26" aluminum radiator for $126.90 including shipping! It's quite a bit lighter than my old swapmeet 3-row 26" copper/brass rad. The welds actually look good everywhere... but I'm still going to pressure-test it before going to the significant work of installing it (will also have to remount the Contour fans).
Got a link? Looks like the one I put in a car, works great. I'm a sucker for cheap.
Me too. I get burned on occasion - a rule of thumb is: the harder the part is to replace, or the more damage a failure will cause, the more it's worth buying a good one ;) 3 Row Aluminum Radiator For 1968-1973 Dodge Mopar Challenger 26"Core Big Block | eBay
Going to gas it up so I can drive it to work tomorrow. Just might drop the clutch before I park it back in the garage!
Installed a new voltage regulator and went for a ride.
I gave you your very first "Like"...remember me! Jeff
Unfortunately after I "dropped the clutch" during a test drive, my adjustable rotor came loose and caused all kinds of backfire thru the exhaust. Had to "limp" home in 3rd gear because my FiTech efi was trying to adjust timing with rpm. The lower the rpm the less backfire. Can I use blue loctite on the adjustable rotor to prevent this from occurring again?
Well last night wasnt as productive as I hoped. I pulled the glass from the driver quarter window. It didnt go well... I dont think I know what I am doing there. Ended up having to unbolt things i shouldnt... Ill ask about that elsewhere. I got the broken metal welded back in on the driver striker, as well as removing the cage and nut and welding them to the reinforcement plate. Tonight I will drill the plug weld holes and weld that back in, finishing the striker repair. I also think I am going to weld the seams in the trunk gutter vs. seam sealing them. Then I will get to work sanding the jambs.
Drove her around, and decided to record the idle sound of my dart on flowmaster flowfx mufflers.
Well I finally got all my axle stuff taken care of and have today installed my Dr Diff rear disc brake kit. 11.25". Will finish hooking up parking brake cables tomorrow. Then it's on a tow dolly and off to "Pro Street Interiors" in Blairsville, Ga to have new headliner installed.
Are those real keystones? What size?
Yes, I bought them from Jegs. They are 15x7".
awesome, thats gonna look killer when its done
Tires arrived and got the new DEMON wheels for the Charger ordered. Yeah, the Barracuda is kinda being pushed to the back burner.
