yeah Standard brand #US50 is as low as 14 bucks at ebay. It can't be made of much.

Cant remeber the brand but the big isue was how terribly sloppy the parts fit together despite being fairly heavy.

Just wrapped up installing a headlight relay kit. Made a difference but it's hard to tell. Drivers light just on battery power. First pic before second after. I'm tired so can't tell if it is brighter. None the less it wil be less of a load to the gauges.

Steering coupler from Bergman installed. Cleaned up the column a little bit.

Got the A833 tailshaft seal today, so I put that in (fun job with the 3" X-pipe and driveshaft loop in the way and only the rear on jack stands). Then reinstalled the driveshaft with the new yoke and solid 7290 front U-joint.
Now I just need the reverse switch, which would have been here today if not for the Bush funeral. Should be in tomorrow's mail.

Changed the leaky reverse switch. Barely lost any GL-4 80w-90 gear oil since it's 35F (and was 28 last night) and it has the consistency of honey. I hate working on that area - up under the tunnel, exact center of the car, trans crossmember, 3" X-pipe and driveshaft safety loop all getting in the way.

SOMEDAY I may have the money to put a concrete floor in my 40x30 barn... the four-post lift has been sitting in its crate for two years now

Though similar to some of my earlier valve covers, this setup has chrome replica powder, candy red and blue, and includes my first ever six-color (plus clear) air cleaner assembly and first tri-colored 1-inch Spectre hold down.

Pretty darn cold here in Michigan but I found some time to pull the 273 out of the Barracuda today, it will be going over to John's house in a few days we are going to add some horses over the winter and change the converter to either a 2400 or 2600 stall I will see what my trans guy recommends after the motor is finished.

Thought this might be a good thread to quickly show what you are up to with your cars today, as an alternative for people who don't have full build threads for their cars.

I'll kick it off!

Today I bolted on the new Cragar wheels and tires and took it for a quick test drive with no front or rear glass. What a great traction upgrade! 295/50/15s in the back and 155/80/15s in the front. Gave the car a whole new attitude.
I also installed my new Champion Radiator that I bought from Challenger Gary a couple of months ago. It works great so far, ran it for about a half hour with a single 16 inch electric fan and the temp stayed very steady.

Now I am removing the old cheapo headers and installing a new set of Doug's along with a mini starter that I pulled from the local U-Pull junk yard a couple of hours ago for 22 bucks.

Trying to get it driveable for Mopars in the Park. I live about 20 minutes from the fairgrounds so it shouldn't be too bad a drive with the 4.56 gears. Really looking forward to meeting some members!

Pulled carpet out of my 70 Swinger to put sound proofing in. Found a rust hole. Thought I could patch until I poked with a screwdriver. Now it’s turned into this. Front floor pans both sides.

If you have or can get an old Year One catalog, they have tons of Exploded View diagrams in there. The new ones may too -- haven't needed mine in awhile. It was a lot of help putting my car back together.

Finally getting back to the '65. Been in storage in pcs for 3-4 years now. Put it in the garage yesterday. Starting with finishing the body and painting it.

Sprayed LCAs. Didn’t go crazy prepping them. Got the horns and hood latch stuff too. Assembled fan. But dammit I forgot to weld the stiffening plates to my LCAs. Guess I’ll do that tomorrow and touch up paint. Then press in LCA bushings.
