Getting the suspension back on. :)

Welded up a big ole hole I had to cut my trunk at the spare tire well so I could move my new efi fuel tank over to the driver side of the car. It was too close to the passenger exhaust pipe. Had to do a couple spots at the firewall too.

Transmission fluid and filter change. I planned on changing the speedometer gear at the same time, but it turns out the one in it was the same as the one I planned on using.

Finally got the rear bench back from the upholsterer, what a great feeling to have presentable seats! Before and after…

Does anyone have any experience with soda blasting interior panels? I’m trying to think of a way to gently clean them up and expose the texture so I can dye them. You can see they’ve been painted (or something) and it’s flaking off.

Well, big step forward and one back...

Screwed up and had the center link flipped which damaged the tie rod end boots :BangHead:

That has since been corrected.

String, square and measuring tape alignment on DIY slip plates went well. Car drove straight and smooth down the road.

Should be a simple thing to double check the alignment when new parts go in

It's always the little details that end up taking so much time.
I lost the kickdown linkage long time ago.
So I'm putting an all cable setup.
Installed new Alternator, took forever, I had to make a spacer to go next to head.
I'm getting closer to having this 416 in!!

Just put the M/E WAGNER adjustable PCV valve, no rattling valve making me think my Dart is pinging/ detonating! Don't care for the looks too much, but damn it works and seems to be running way better.

Took the Barracuda out for a few short drives. Adjusted the kickdown linkage, throttle cable and timing. It's running better and smoother than it has since I bought it. Took it to dinner Saturday evening and had an awesome ride.

I have stubbornly done all of the work on the Charger, usually by myself, but today I had to drop it off at a shop to have the headlight switch and turn signal switch replaced. Due to ongoing Vertigo issues I can no longer work upside down under the dash without making myself sick. They didn't finish today so it is still at the shop. Feels strange not to have it in the garage.

Passenger side torsion bar slid in like butter when you know what your doing. It also clears the TTI exhaust pipe. Driver side another day. :)

New cap, rotor and coil in... added the manifold vacuum port for the new brake booster. Tie rod ends in and ready for alignment.

I had my stereo installed for the Carlisle trip. It turns out my antenna plug was toast. I bought some new ends from a stereo supply place and repaired it. Now the radio works great.

I'm putting the finishing touches on this guy before it goes in the car. Header clean up is next on the list.
