I'm still undecided what color to paint my car and I needed to paint under the hood before I set the motor in. Black is one of my color choices so I rattled it in black to see if I liked it. toolman

Could a person sand blast the intake? I have a regular SB, RPM, want to paint my engine and intake all one color, factory blue. Will use epoxy primer then single stage (two part catalized) paint.

A tip I have learned from my model railroading hobby. I take lots of pictures when I am modeling. Flaws will literally jump out at you in a photograph that you might not normally see. I have used this technique to make flaws show up in under hood pictures very well. You know when it looks good in a picture, it will look good in person.

My '69 Dart is still in construction and my current plan is to paint the car Viper Red. I'm not a fan of body color engines and don't think a 'HemiOrange' painted engine block is going to 'pop' against the Viper Red. I'm also not a fan of other Mopar engine colors. So what to do?
I've settled on a blue color that's going to have good contrast with the Viper Red but still 'pop' when used with the polished aluminum components I'm planning.

Leanna did an outstanding job powdercoating my valve covers in 'Crystal Blue'. It matches the "custom-mix" blue I'm going to paint my engine and will 'pop' against the Viper Red body and engine bay.
