What makes mopar guy different?

-
As a "Mopar guy" I can honestly say that I get along with owners of cars from ALL of the manufacturers, - Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler, De Soto, and Imperial.

Hey, i draw the line with the Imperial guys........
They're all hoity-toity with their big blocks, power windows, automatics, and worst of all, the reech Corinthian leather. :D
I almost got run out of town by them for robbing the 440, auto, and 2:76 sure grip center section out of a rusty '69 Imperial.

It takes a 'special person' to Love these cars.

You're risking the wrath of Kahn!

(younger guys might not get the Ricardo Montalban reference)

That last paragraph is exactly the answer to my questions I believe. Mopar guys are crazy and nuts and like being different and we like to hang out with the same sort of people which is why we tend to stick to mopar only shows and we tend to get a little more rowdy then the other brands.

I understand I am generalizing when I say we but out of the mopar guys I know and have been around this sums them up to a tee. Maybe not so violent though lol

To be honest I go to all makes shows and shun the singluar brand ****. Last thing I want is snooty attitudes about how great their brand is over another. They all have pros and cons and to each their own. I only chose mopar because I love the dart body style I have. I also love the 66-67 chevy2 very similar cars. Id take either one but love the much less popular mopar for originality. I have never been like everybody else and never will be.

Now I love damn near all old cars and have a respect for anybody that does as well. When I hear **** talking or full of **** stories I really really get agitated. Ive been known to call the person a liar, exaggerater or just tell them if they really want to know the truth just ask. I know they do it to fit in or just seem like one of the guys. I k ow cuz I did it as a teenager. I didnt know anything but I wanted to appear cool. Till I figured out I was cool without the bs. Now I just bs to avoid being cool. Lol. However when its a grown as man telling me bullshit it is frustrating.

I sometimes wish I had bought a mustang or camaro cuz my **** would have been running my now. Hmi am motivated to know that when I do hit the streets. I will not see another one pull up beside me like mine ever.

My mom used to tell me I was special. They even had a special remedial group in school for me.....

And a shorter bus :)

This is just not an "American" car thing.. It happens with British cars as well.. some people can be real snots..

Went to a car show yesterday..it was cold and there were the most mopars I have seen in a non mopar show..everything from an early fish, '70s Charger and a mint 69 satellite with a /6...

We found the fish owner, a lady who seems to be more interested in a toy dog on her car....what is with that anyway ??? anyway, even my son said she was rude..almost insulted when we asked her if she was on FABO...absolutely NO interest when we told her about it.. the car was nice but had large gaps between the panels.

There was a (famous) car made around here..she did the videoing..in one shot, the fabricator pours a gallon of body filler on it, added the harder and smoothed it out...the owner paid big bucks for that..

My son said it best...and he is beginning to think he won't take his car to shows..that they belong in a "clique" and have no interest in talking to any spectators..they just talk to themselves.. the chebby guys were much more friendlier..

The cars with the toy dolls in the back are a bit creepy...
