Looking at getting an old Dodge pickup truck for hauling stuff. 60-80s would be fine. I could at least work on them pretty easily.

I found this 85 Ramcharger on craigslist near me. Seems like it may be a good deal. Looks clean. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/cto/2067922502.html

What other reliable Mopar trucks would you guys recommend? Looking more for a mid to full size.

I would love to have the early model of 1965 sport special w/426 wedge. Red with black side mouldings.

72-80 Dodge trucks are my favorite, ecspecially 72-74 Power Wagons. I currently have a '72 W100, '73 W200, and a '74 W100 Sno-Fiter. I prefer the 72-74's lock-out hubs over the 75-79 full time set-up.

I would love to have my old Power Wagon back.
Sold it a few years ago.
Could of bought it back but no extra $$$ at the time.
New owner is putting a Cummins in it.
1967 W-200 383/4spd
This is a pic of his I got from swepline.org of it.
I was able to buy back the 383 though!

I love the 72-80 dodges as well:love7:, I have a 79 and my father has a 77 both are the D- series that are 2WD and are far from stock

My 1967 WM300 Power Wagon was a good truck even had a winch

I just picked up a 21 year old non redneck molested survivor of the pick up class, a super straight full size non-rusted truck clean as a whistle yet in need paint with a V8 and manual 5 speed. I don't want to tell you what is is because you'll rant and rave and practically pee in your pants and throw rocks at me if I do. I will say this, although its not a Mopar its exactly what I needed as a donor for my rebuilt LT1 and T56 six speed otherwise that combo would have gone in my Signet.
Sure I could have gotten an old Dodge and for the money I'd have to put in it, I'd be better off with a new one but now I have exactly what was needed.

Do you Mopar guys have any preference on washer and dryers as I am about to embark on a sales journey?

Wooooo power wagons!!!! Very tough looking. Like the sweptlines too. Like the ramchargers too but need a truck witha bed.

1965 A100 I had a chance to get one a few years ago, but didn't and I still kick myself for not getting it. I don't think I would have built it as radical as this, but I'm sure I couldn't have left it stock.

Wow!! I love these trucks!!!
My daily driver is a 96 Dodge Ram 4x4 pickup and I believe these vintage civiliam Power Wagon pickups were the inspiration for the styling on my pickup truck.

He is right the 72-74 have locking hubs and divorced NP205 transfer case so your axles are not spinning when you don't need them. I am building one right now. The guys over at Ramcharger Central think the 72-74 W100 was the best drivetrain dodge ever put in a 1/2 ton. 8 3/4 rear, Dana 44 front, NP 205 TC.

72 W100.

1978 D100 Slant Six 4 speed O.D. with a long bed and a 8-3/4" 3.23 rear. Can you say "World's first slant six turbo diesel"?

I know where there is a mid 60's armored Dodge truck. It is sitting in a parking lot. I have tried to find out if it is for sale without success. This thing is a tank!!!!! I will drive out there tomorrow with the camera and snap some pictures and post em up here.

I would love to have an old, military Power Wagon, but what I do currently own, I really do enjoy. "Butterscotch", is my 1972 D100, 225-slant 6 with "3 on the tree", and no power steering or power brakes. Paid $1400 for it from a guy useing it as a ranch truck. I plan to clean her up and take her to car shows as a "survivor".
My daily driver is a 97 Ram 1500 with 5.9L/auto. An 8inch Superlift suspension kit clears the 37inch Super Swampers. I've had this truck five and a half years and always get compliments on it everywhere I go.
We also have a 2010 "Lone Star" edition crew cab with 5.7 Hemi which is the family truck that my wife drives everywhere and loves!
