One of each?!

It had been a minute since I worked on a front hub/drum, so when I popped the driver side front wheel off this 65 barracuda and found a drum and independent hub, I rolled with it. Went to the other side and assumed it was stuck and wailed on it several times til it dawned on me lmao....

I assume it's an old repair shop job. Anyone know just from photos what this setup might be? The car is a 2bbl 273 auto, I got a 4bbl hp 273 parts car and scavenged some parts from the front hub drums, but unfortunately the rear had the bigger HP drums, so parts car hasn't been much use in the brake dept...

The passenger side drum has not been replaced like the driver side. This means that the hub, drum and studs are still swedged together.

The likely did that on the drivers side to replace the LH studs with rh thread.

Like demonracer says the swaged hubs are still intact on the passenger side. Leave it that way and service the brakes buy undoing the spindle nut and pulling the whole assembly off.

The swedging was probably drilled away leaving just the hub, and an aftermarket drum was added. I've seen it done thousands of times over the years. If he doesn't want to change over to disc, my suggestion would be to go to the larger 10" drums on all four corners.

I know this.

The question is if anyone can tell by looking at it, what was used on the driver side replacement.
What do you mean? This question is unclear

If you are referring to the drum, you can buy replacement front drums from rock auto for this application

As in what brand of drum?
Are they 9 or 10 inch? Who knows what brand they are. Does it matter? If you’re looking for another to do the other side or something just go to rock auto and look under 1965 valiant to 1970 valiant. They will list fronts and rears in both 9 and 10 inch.
Hope this helps you find what your looking for.
