You need to add ‘not yet’ after the 16 or put maybe someday! Duster started in 2003 not done yet

These are the pictures I took in 2015 when I drove from Pa to North Carolina and back the same day hauling it. These were taken at his place. I hope to have it running this year. But then again I hope to get my boat that I bought in 2010 out for the first time.

That's cheating John, the Duster looks pretty good and probably could be a premium track car within 6 months.
Looks like the previous owner did most of the work. :D lol

Trick question.
Bought the dart in 2008
Dragged home in 2009
2019 painted green go
Cruised the streets so could say done, but 2023 pulled 340 and a833 and stuffed a 512 low deck with t56. Hoping to have her rolling again for June 1, but it will be tight.

The work was switching it from small block to big block, building the nitrous 572, porting the B1 heads, having my buddy build headers, fixing the front suspension from a huge wheelie, building an ATI case 1.69 powerglide.

Now I could have had it running high 8’s with one of my semi budgeted small blocks NA.

572 Beast Torque Monster
Yeah man love a PowerGlide !!
The ultimate in pure function.

It took me 16 years to finish the swinger in my avatar. Worked on it about six months then got side tracked. Around 14 years later I decided to crack down and finish it.
The car im working on now, is a 74 Cuda. I have had this car for 20 years and started restoring it a little over a year ago.
Never drove either of these cars prior to restoring.
Currently daily driving a 73 340 dart sport that is slated for restoration after the cuda is done. Had her for 6 years now.

I owned this one 17 years before it was stolen. It was being worked on at the time. I hadn't even got to the paint stage!

Let's see.....disassembled my 71 Demon 340 in 1993. Drove it for the first time after the resto in 2022. So that would be 29 years!

Mine's done, but left to me in 93. I finished it in 2022.

This is how it was left to me. My father had taken it apart...

My car sat in a building basically from 1985 til 2017. It saw a few hundred miles in 2018. Maybe this year the ol' speedo gets moving again...

We'll see....

I picked up our '74 Duster in OCT 00 from the original owner before I left Col's. Hopefully she'll be road worthy before I die.

Me. Got my first car when I was 16. 1970 Dodge Dart. Took it all part for a motor swap. LOL. I’ll be 37 here in a couple months. Still not done. Bran new stroker engine been sitting on the engine stand for 15 years, transmission a few years, axle and suspension for 10 years. Dammit.

Motorcycles count?
I bought my second hand 73 Norton in 1975.
It's mostly done but not completely.
It's still on the stand.
48 years this year.
Haven't ridden it since 77.

I think that's the record so far
To be honest I did inherit a few.
Then there are the I'll get to it next. Oh wait I can't pass this one up.
I will never get to them now.
I have left them all to friends I have net here and other sites in my will.
I'm not sure if that's a good thing for them or not:rolleyes:
