What would these be worth? 1968 Dodge Dart new old stock grille, in the original box! Also both left and right NOS head light bezels in factory wrappers. All parts are exactly the same condition as the day they left ma Mopar! I know they make China made repops of the bezels but not the grille. Did I stumble across something really special or are these parts still out there? Thanks for you help! :glasses7:

they are still nos!!--- so the right buyer will pay the coin your looking for.
68 is a good year-- when was the last time you seen an nos grille or headlight bezels ?
you know the drill -- if you have time -- you will find a buyer-- how about a picture so we can all drool!!

X2
I think someone would pay a premium if they are restoring a factory LO car or a GTS.
I also think they are not very common at all, maybe 20 years ago they were around but not common then either.
Yeah! pics please!

actually everybody has those-- so I'll pay the shipping to me & buy you a nice dinner!! Lawrence

Forgot to add that there is the left and right hood lip trim, one piece has a small scratch but minor, the center piece between the two is missing. Also, the grille has a bag of original hardware and mounting screws too. Thanks for the replies.

don't give it away! They are worth good money, for anybody looking for a concours resto.

I bet John Balow In Wisconsin Muscle Car Restorations would buy it.

I mainly posted this so I could keep an eye on this thread...:glasses7:

Good score keith.

PS what about Mega parts? you could call and ask him what he would sell it for...?

i have in the box the matching NOS truck trim panel if you want to buy it Keith...lol

Keith, like above, the guys restoring/cloning the LO23 cars would go nuts to have something like that. throw them out to the sharks at bigblockdarts and watch them go apeshit. i would get a bidding war started. i cant say what it would be worth , but i can say it would be fun to find out what someone is willing to pay.

Just FYI, there are two different paint schemes and part numbers for 68 Dart front grilles and headlight buckets. One for GT/GTS. And a different one for the Dart 270, 170 models.

Not for sure about the special models like: Western Sports Special (yes in 68 ), White Hat Special, etc...

Hemi Darts got the GT/GTS type grille. But no GT/GTS finish panel. The Hemi Darts are strange combination of parts.

CORRECT for Hemi Dart and GT/GTS

how did they get a hemi dart to hook? that is insane!! Lawrence

Thanks for the info, I will check the paint scheme on these. I will also get some pics up later too. I suppose it could always be painted either way if desired.

Yes, if you can remove or add black paint and not mess with the anodizing. Looking over them a little bit, I think you can just add black. But should study the pics more. And you'd really not want to remove or smear any of the silver paint either. That original silver is some of the value of the NOS. Then you'd have to mask and paint ALL of the black over again to make it match perfect.

Would surely take some time, skill, and finesse.

Yup, great care would be needed, I would never paint it myself, that is very delicate work!

I looked at the grille and it is painted like the standard model, not the GT/GTS. But I bet it could have the black added if desired :glasses7:

That is a thing of beauty. I wouldn't be surprised either if that brought $1K to the right buyer.
I hadn't realized that the GT & GTS grilles are different for 1968 like they are for 1967. I am trying to sell a nice 68' Dart/Dart 270 grille w/ bezels for $175, and now realize there is less of a market for it, correct for the GT/GTS guys that is.

too bad you are not at the nationals!! that sure looks pretty!!

Wow that is nice. I would be afriad to ship that thing if you sold it. What are you thinking price wise?

No sure on price, it may end up on eBay to the highest bidder. I will probably build a wood box to ship it in. Probably be expensive to ship but on a sweet item like this I'm not gonna stick it in a flimsy cardboard box.
