My upstairs neighbor lady takes it for granted that she can put bedding and pillows on my Barracuda to dry. The car is parked out front with a cover on it. Earlier today I went out to go somewhere. On my way out, I saw some pillows and bedding spread out on the hood of the car. I took them and put them on her vehicle, then she texts me and gives me hell for not asking her first if I could move those things off my own vehicle. I texted her back and asked her why she couldn't ask ME permission to put bedding on the vehicle and to show me a little more respect, then she got defensive, explaining that her hubby gave me permission to park it where it is, and that she's doing no harm because it's an old car. I'm trying not to be petty, but she gets on a high horse sometimes and acts entitled just because of this or that.

Tell her to put her laundry on her own car and if she keeps giving you a hard time then throw her laundry on the ground, preferably in a mud puddle on in the dirt

If You're parking on someone else's property, Your kinda screwed, but it doesn't mean Your ride is a drying rack. Depends on what consequence You're willing to risk, car cover or not, I'm kind of a dick about stuff like that. She's lucky it's not Me, that ****'d be laying on the ground next to the car.

It's not their property. We're all renters. What I don't want is for them to put even more **** on the vehicle if I allow it.

You stated Her Husband allowed You to park it there,....just going by what You posted, if it's their spot & they're letting You use it, same thing....but I would tell her it ain't OK, She doesn't get to decide if it doesn't matter in Her eyes, car is Your's & the answer is NO.

Just because hubby gave you permission to park it, doesnt give her the right to abuse your car. If you dont mind potentially losing your spot, tell her to knock it off or the next time her laundry will be on the ground.

If she has bedbugs, your car has bedbugs. Buy some fake cat poo and stick a couple of them on your cover.

As much as we'd like to, tit for tat doesn't usually work out in the end.
If you are willing to put up the clothes line cable and pay for it, then that is the best overall solution in this case.
And make the stipulation that you don't want to see anything put on your car again.
Sometimes it takes some bending to keep peace with your neighbors...
If she continues to use the car to dry her laundry, then the fight is on!
At that point I would do as Rusty said and just throw it on the ground because there aren't any excuses for that anymore.
Then if she bitches about it, then tell her that you'll do that every time you see the laundry on your car because you tried to solve the problem at your own expense.
Man, I would just love to slap people like her that think the way that she does...
Good luck, and post any updates so we can see what happens!

The Christian thing to do would be to put up that clothes line, maybe bring a table for her to use.
I haven't been to church in awhile so I'd lean toward what is in post #s 2-3-4-8 and 12.

I consider myself a Christian who is a believer and not perfect. Sometimes we just have to stand our ground and set our boundries.

For anyone to disrespect your property for any reason ...that is unacceptable.
"Old car" ???
Old or new, it is YOUR property.

Bingo! There are dudes who are even more protective of their ride than us guys, such as a 1%er motorcycle club memeber. A good day could end badly for a man OR a woman who disrespects his hog. It's a guy thing.

A clothes line is a good idea only until some unsuspecting/ unaware is clotheslined.
I recall itchy powder. May still be available.
Coming up after the break, a childish prank is weaponized. LOL

Give her the address for a busy intersection and tell her to give out hand jobs for quarters to feed the dryer.
